all star baseball 2005 ( xbox version )

i have figured out something on all star baseball 2005 ( for xbox ), i noticed that you can almost completely upgrade the game . the only thing i cant do is make a new schedule . but ANY player in the game can be re - edited and turned into someone else . the only things you cant do to the players is turn pitchers from right handed pitchers to left handed and vise versa and the same thing with batters . but if you have a player who is a switch hitter ,then it wont matter . while mvp baseball 2005 has the better graphics , at least with all star baseball 2005 you can almost completelu upgrade the game into a 2009 baseball game . if anyone has a way to make a current schedule for all star baseball 2005 , please let me know . it would be cool if there was a pc editor for it though .

You're doing this from the ROSTER EDITOR that is already with the game? Not something you've invented, right?

I started this project and have done a ton of teams, but put it on the backburner until after the December owner meetings (anticipating a lot of player movement). Perhaps we can somehow hook up and share this thing as it's a massive undertaking.

Re: all star baseball 2005 ( xbox version )

i am mostly trying to upgrade the all star baseball game thru the game itself . there is a thing in the game where you can edit the players and i also used the create a player option too . yes i am using the roster editor that is in the game . i am not good enough to invent anything . some people still are surprised when they hear about a woman that likes sports and likes to play video games too . i'm even learning how to use the pc editor for espn nfl 2k5 ( xbox version ) . i was trying out the different options one nite on all star baseball baseball 2005 and that's when i realized that all star baseball 2005 could almost be comepletly upgraded , except for the schedule part of the game . instead of me waiting until all of the meetings to take place i am taking care of all of the trades and signings that have already happened then i will go from there . i know not many people are playing the all star baseball 2005 but i thought to myself why should i go out and spend $ 50.00 once a year for a baseball game that usally doesnt have that much of improvements when i can get a couple of my older baseball games almost upgraded even though what i have is an older baseball game . i also have mvp baseball 2005 for the xbox too . but on that one i can only upgrade it so much and that is about it on that game . someone on some site called mvp mods had a roster and franchise and a curent schedule for the xbox version but i tried it out but my computer could not recognize the file because it was something called a " rar " file . so i just erased it . as far as other sports games go it is very difficult to upgrade older games i found out . that is how the companies get people to buy the sports games every year . if you can find out a way to make a current schedule for the 2009 season that would be cool .

Re: all star baseball 2005 ( xbox version )

The problem with ASB2k5 is you cannot trade players unless you start a franchise (that means picking a team to manage and play as). I'm doing it with the stock roster and using the save roster function to overwrite the stock roster. That means almost every player has to be created.

Are you telling me you found a way to trade players from team to team without entering a franchise?

i load my franchise then i trade players , it seemed to let me trade just about anyone . i'm using the rockies right now , but i noticed i was able to trade people one from team to another . some players i did need to create like the younger players . for the players who dont play any more i was able to turn them into other players too . i also go to the mlb.com website at least 2 or 3 times a week . to check for trades and signings too . i also use the mlb.com site to make the mlb roster as acurrate as possible . it does take along time to make every team more current . if i figure out anything new i'll let you know . i also come from a military family too .

Okay, but see, there's the problem. A lot of people look to certain people to make rosters because they are so time consuming. ASB2k5 forces you to start a franchise and pick a team. To share that roster a user would have to like the same team that you do.

I'm doing to pre-franchise and it means taking each team from the default roster that came with the game and creating the correct players, no trades can be made. That way guys can start their own franchise and have an accurate roster for which ever team they choose.

It's hard because the handedness hinders the 25 man ML rosters, but at least people will be able to choose their team, then go into the minors and grab a guy who is on the 25 man roster and send a guy who should be in the minors down. Only way it can work.

If they would have allowed to change the POS/HANDEDNESS it would have been great.

i think i'll try your idea . i'll transfer my franchise and options saves to my computer and i'll start completely over again from scratch . thankyou for giving me the idea . i have the action replay for xbox so i can transfer any of my saves from my xbox's hard drive and store the saves on my computer . about how long do you think it will take to upgrade the game ?

Re: all star baseball 2005 ( xbox version )

Okay, I have done quite a few teams, but I've stopped because of all the trades and player movement that may be coming up in December. Perhaps I can send you my roster file and you can pick it up from there. The chores is getting all the players created FIRST and then going back and doing their attributes.

You want to try this, co-op kind of thing?
