Holy crap!!!! Thast is a lot of money. Plus the fact that they are going to make offers to Lowe and Burnett is astonishing. Here is a potential rotation for 2009:


Sabathia
Lowe
Burnett
Wang
Chamberlain

That ain't bad!!!!

The new stadium they're getting is going to give them so much revenue it's ridiculous. If you thought they were big spenders before...you have seen nothing.

News is saying that it's closer to 6 years 140 million, slightly higher than the deal Johan got.

I've heard $137.5 mil.

This is seriously depressing. Are the Yanks just going to outspend every team out there? I hope that they sign most of the guys they offer contracts to and they all massively underachieve.

The worst part is that it'll likely be the highest offer, and the MLBPA will pretty much force him to take it for that reason.

That does suck. I heard 6 years/150 million on WFAN this afternoon. Supposedly the Mets are going to make an offer as well. I would say I can't see it happening, but I said the same thing last year before we got Johan.
