Wow, the most money ever paid to a pitcher in the history of MLB.

Yeah, the economy drove down K-Rod's price....

Aye, $160 million dollars. That's idiotic! Well, we're due for a FA starter to not be a huge bust, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Here's a question...why do fans of baseball teams get upset at the amount of money their team spends on a free agent? Why do you care? There's no salary cap. The Yankees in particular have shown through the years that basically, money is no object. Who cares how much they gave him?

I'm not upset - I wasn't talking in terms of baseball, just life and the world. $160 million is absurd.

Are the Yankees still pursuing A.J. Burnett?

The fact that he's had 4 playoff starts the last 2 yearsand they were all bad is concerning, but at the same time he carried the Brewers on his back down the stretch this year, dominating in games that were just as important as playoff games.

A lot of years and money, but great signing

I hear you...but some people do get upset in terms of baseball. I was curious as to why.

I think they are in the running, but now that they have C.C. they'll back off a little imo.

Rumor has it they are close to getting Lowe. I'd rather just bring Pettitte back, and if you can get Sheets for a shorter deal do it, if not go with Hughes or Kennedy.
