TSB is the best game of all-time because of the nostalgia, fun-factor, innovations, realism, lack of realism, et al. There are still leagues with updated and original rosters running to this day. Practically every college worth it's salt has some sort of TSB tourney every semester. Hell, even athletes (both college and professional) still make sure to take Nintendo's with them on road trips in order to play TSB.

I got a 2600 when I was 8, Ive played almost every game in this tournament, except a majority of the baseball games, including TSB. but those youtube clips are pretty damning, arent they.

nothing fishy. just most of these posters arent 27 and over. If you didnt grow up with Tecmo Bowl or Baseball Stars you have no frame of reference. Unfortunately, these "kids" will never understand what they are missing.

I never got into NFL2K5 but I am going to vote for it in the finals just because this college basketball game doesn't even deserve to be there.

To each his own, but it blows my mind that College Hoops 2k8 is leading in votes over TSB.

This sorta reminds me of how American Idol works. It's no longer about quality, it's about who can generate the newest, largest, following.

I actually like College Hoops to some degree, but it would be a sad state of affairs if this game wins the distinction as "The Best Sports Game".

I agree completely. Tecmo Super Bowl (and Tecmo Bowl) invented how we call plays today in football games. CH2K8? It's just a college version of NBA 2K8. I've played it, and although it's a great game, it's nowhere near as nice as Tecmo Super Bowl. I still have a copy of it on my computer to play when I get bored, and it's always on my USB drive (mainly because I never clean it, but still...). At least we have until Sunday to get 10 more votes.

so basically TSB is losing because of youtube clips? Are you kidding me? Sure the game doesn't look great or look realistic, but it was made in 1991. The game has a screen pass that is better than any of the screens in NFL 2k5. The thing is, there's so many 2k fanboys on this site, that defend almost every 2k game to their death. Honestly, if college hoops was so great it would make money, people would be fighting hand over fist to buy it. 2k is losing money.

Think about it, how many years has 2k put out college hoops as compared to Tecmo at the time of TSB? I remember playing TSB when I knew nothing about football. I know quite a bit about college basketball and I couldn't give two craps about college hoops. That is supposed to be the greatest sports game of all time?
