I honestly don't understand the message you are trying to send us here.

He's asking you guys to stop any comparisons before they start because that's the general rule of thumb here. He's being proactive because a comment as "innocent" as that becomes a problem later on.

Unless you explicitly create a thread asking for direct comparisons, we ask that people discuss the games the topic is intended to discuss. This is the same for all the other forums around release time.

anyone have any information regarding the PSP version of 2012? i guess we should expect the Vita version to be graphically superior than the PSP version, but i wonder if the PSP version will be good. i got the PSP version of 2010 and it was fun. i hope the graphics are enhanced from 2010 to 2012 on the PSP. Although if the Vita is much better, maybe it would be better to get a Vita and 2012. i guess it would depend on how different the Vita version is to the PSP version, and if it's worth actually buying a Vita for 2012. i would think if i get a Vita PYS would likely be the only Vita game i would need for a while.

Looks very good. This game might be worth getting a Vita for. It should be interesting to see if the Vita version takes sales away from the PSP version. if the Vita version is great, then would it be worth it to get the PSP version? And one thing that i'd like to know if if there is any Vita specific control options for PYS on the Vita? And if they make use of the right analog stick.

That video is mostly of the PS3 version isn't it? Anyway, new for 2012 PSP will be Field Play which is a great addition. But with the release of the Vita I don't see any reason to get the PSP version - unless of course you cant afford the Vita. The sticks are so much better, the graphics will be so much better, I mean PYS is a game worthy of buying the Vita for.

And by the way, I'm playing PYS 2011 (PSP version) on the Vita right now. 2010 version is not available yet.

it sounds like you are planning on getting the Vita version of 2012 instead of the PSP version. I am considering getting a Vita. how does the PSP version of 2011 play on Vita? do the graphics look better playing the PSP game on Vita? i thought the 2010 PSP version had more blocky models and sharp edges then the PS2 version. it was still great to have a handheld PYS game though, and with the bigger and improved screen of the Vita, i would like to know if Vita improves the graphics of PSP games. for me i don't know how i would be able to play the PSP version of 2010 on the Vita because i have the physical UMD disc. it would be interesting to play both the PSP version of 2012 on the Vita, then play the Vita version. maybe it would be like playing the PS2 version of PYS and the PS3 version of PYS on the same system.

The Vita doesn't run PSP games in its native resolution. So I guess I'd put it this way: if the PSP had the sticks the Vita has then I'd rather just play it on PSP. But the Vita has a bigger screen and the graphics are ok with me. It kinda feels like I'm playing a PS2 game on a CRT TV.

I could be wrong but I think the graphics on the PSP version wont be much better in 2012. I'd think most of Konami's portable efforts went to the Vita version.

I wish I could get PES soccer 5 on this Vita.

i guess my question is how the 2011 PSP version runs on your Vita. does the PSP version take up the full Vita screen when you play? if so, does it look stretched? do the player models look any smoother when you play the PSP version on the Vita? do the shadows look any better? less jaggies?

The PSP looks smoother...player models and such. The Vita runs it at full screen, it doesn't look stretched out but there are more jaggies. It doesn't bother me, I mean after hearing some PSP on Vita impressions (of other games) I was concerned. Most likely those were older games they were talking about (PYS 2011 probably maxed out the graphics on the PSP so it looks better on Vita.)

My first thought when I ran it was that it isn't bad at all. Sure, it's a little step down but I'm not too picky about this stuff. Framerate & controls are fine, real smooth.

In a couple weeks this should be a moot deal anyway. Hopefully 2012 will be as good as expected and there will be no reason to play the PSP version on it.
