Re: OSFF Questions and Help Thread

How do "bye weeks" work? Do we sell the player when they don't play a certain week?

Bye weeks can get a bit tricky with this fantasy format. You have a few options:

- sell the player and save your money, playing a reserve who isn't on a bye
- bench the player and insert a reserve
- sell the player and buy them back later

Note that the last option could be advantageous if you think ahead. Remember, when many people are selling, the price drops.

So, you have Darren McFadden (great value, by the way) and the Raiders have a bye in week 9. But in week 8 the Raiders have a tough defensive matchup with the Chargers. So you sell him at around the initial purchase price of $25.

Since he has a bye and players will start selling him off, you could be able to buy him back up a couple of weeks later at a great price!

This new format will put a lot of veteran fantasy players to the test. Just start thinking a bit more like the stock market and a little lest like a typical fantasy league and you'll be heading in the right direction.

Hmm...Are you logged in when you're searching? Click the OS Fantasy Football 09 link on the Operation Sports sidebar to the left. That should take you to the FF Front page which should allow you to create a team.

Can you give me some details as to what you're seeing when you do those things? Hopefully I can help or point you in a direction.

As soon as you create your team you're entered into the global OS league.

Re: OSFF Questions and Help Thread

Is this for who earns the most points, or who earns the most money?

It's all about the points. The fantasy dollars just give you more flexibility and opportunity to purchase better players. If you buy a player for 10 and then sell him for 30, you've given yourself the ability to buy a $30 player for the next week, probably giving you greater fantasy value.

As far as pictures go, I'll need to five into that one later (answering from my OS mobile right now).
