Look, dallas is a playoff caliber team, and i even felt that last year---taking into account Romo's injury and a couple of other tough losses.

And I like a great deal of what the team has; in then end, though, I don't think the mgmt structure can get it done.

Witten--best in the league, imo.
Our OLine is solid, though with little depth, and some age.
Newman is still a liability against the run.
Ware is a beast
But Hamilin and the rest of the secondary range from questionable to "eh..."

The team cannot get psychologically settled, and I don't think TO was the main culprit in this.

The thing is, some very important things must change, and they are things that are hard to change...Romo must make better decisions; that being said Garrett has to manage the offense better to make those decisions easier to make. The secondary has to be able to stop the dink and dunk. The game against AZ was embarrassing.

And the biggest change is mentality. Last year's team was a penalty machine and had countless breakdowns and lapses.

Sadly, I think all of this is a result of a culture created by Jerry Jones...it worked in the Johnson era bc of superior coaching and the fact that we were at the end of the old player culture and the cusp of the new. The new player culture is...different...and any sense of free-wheeling recklessness is seized upon, and generally to a team's detriment.

With the Cowboys' talent, it makes one think the blame for failure has to be placed at the top.

as for rebuilding...this team has 2 more seasons, tops....including 2009...couple that with Jerry's wilingness to do some crazy things, and it could be ugly.

Re: Dallas Cowboys War Room

not likely.

though it is nice that the team has an extra hole to fill, what with RoyWilliams being the #1 wideout...yikes.

If they had something to package for Harvin, then they should add something to that package and try to get Boldin.

hopefully dallas can get some db help and some depth through this draft. there is no reason to expect much more than that.
