iPhone Sports Game Mini Reviews

At an Apple event earlier this month, Steve Jobs called the iPod Touch “a great gaming machine.” While great may be a stretch, there is no doubt that the iPod Touch and iPhone have changed the way we view portable games.

So what does the iPhone/iPod “gaming platform” hold for sports gamers? Well, that's somewhat hard to say, but here are three short reviews of some popular sports apps/games that are available now at the App Store.

Baseball Superstars 2009 is a good one. Japanese game from gamevil . Has a 'be a pro' type mode which is sweet.

Real Soccer 2009 is good for 99 cents although it has no analog control, just digital

Someone is remaking Earl Weaver Baseball, (search ewb in the app store). Its pretty raw and has promise

iBowl is really good. Has multiplayer , standard bowling game fare.

Sox GM Kenny Williams on trading for Carlos Quentin. Also inspired his nickname of THE Carlos Quentin!!

Proud White Sox season ticket holder.
