Probably going to pick this up

This weekend, NHL 10 is nice but is getting a bit boring for me for the most part and it sounds like 2k10 can keep my interest alittle more. I dont have a ton of time to play with a job kid and wife at home. I usually play a two games during the week and like 3 or 4 on the weekend. However, I am a diehard penguin fan and hockey fan. My big thing with nhl 10 is that I cant tell apart the star players from the scrubs and faceoffs are kind of troublesome.

I know that 2k offers better faceoffs as ive seen videos on it, but can you really tell the differnce between say Crosby and Mike Rupp?

I also dont like the fact that the goalies look they were taken from the ps2 and just ported into the ps3. Thats honestly probably why I didnt pick up 2k10 once I saw those graphics. I think i can look past that now though.

Another question is the how fluid is the game? Can I wrap it around the board when im in the offensive zone?

Are screens/ deflections done well and do the players move around a lot in the zone and just stadn stationary.

Thanks guys

to me the part I bolded is the biggest differnce between the two games. I had both games for a while and settled on 2k10 mostly for that reason. there is a big differnce between start players and 4th liners IMO.

Strategies can be set per team and by line if they aren't to your liking. I've read that Venom has a nice roster for 360 available on 2kshare that has the team/line strategies set pretty realistically.

Don't bother picking this one up... Nothing but a freeze fest. More frustration then it is worth.

While I agree that you are frustrated, and I am sure others are too. I also have a feeling their are some that are enjoying this game too. So maybe becasue you are frustrated with this game doesn't mean this person will be. Just a thought. But if the game is freezing as much as you said it is, then I don't blame you for being upset. But come on. Are you really going to make it a goal to get people not to buy this game? Oh well, like I said more power to you and what ever game you chose I hope you find what you are looking for. You are cool dude Finn so I hope you find what you are looking for.

Re: Probably going to pick this up

Probably picking this up sometime this weekend, but are a lot of the "minor" errors fixed from last year? Such as the box score not showing everyone who scored, only displaying so many goals, or counting UP to 60 mins instead of per period?

Thanks.
