Re: NHL 2K10 Patch Mention

I think if there was at least some kind of semi-official list of at least what was being CONSIDERED for fixing people would be pretty happy.. so far it's just been improving stick-collision issues (which does sound awesome)

Check the video

To me none of this matters when you get what happened in this video i have linked

Anisimov goes walkabout

I kept pressing to get control of Anisimov but i wouldnt change, it comes back to my posts about the reactions of the user players to the puck, its like the puck is only part of the game to the user AI when it is on the stick of the user player.

Drop pass no reaction
Pinning no reaction
Goalie pass no reaction
loose pucks no reaction
Cycling the puck no reaction

All these things i have mentioned i have experienced many many times, players shoot off in different directions and its usually away from the puck taking them out the play.

They just dont do anything until you take control of the player and even that is a chore, it takes many presses of the change player button just to get control of the appropriate player.

The patch needs to address this and we need to know soon because we have been very patient.
That video is exactly the reason I shelved the game. Well that and the goalie diving head first pokes all over the place. Completely ruins any ounce of good thats in 2k10.

EA might do a little more becasue Litt is always sneaking stuff out.

One more he said he hopes to have information. What is so hard to understand about that? I am sure his hands are tied too. You can say defending 2k doesn't help, but ragging on them too will not help either. I say let them do what they do and see what happens. If you guys don't like that I don't know what to say. Maybe write a letter to the head guys and see if they will change that way of doing business.
People have explained the difference to you between both teams approaches more than once, and given valid reasons why they feel the way they do towards 2k's efforts the last couple cycles, yet you continue this nieve stance on it, and toss out the "EA Fanboy" card anytime someone mentions something you don't have a valid arguement for.

Defending an overall major lack of improvement since coming to next gen hasn't helped squat. Hell even Venom is starting to see that. 2k needs to actually DO what they say the're going to do. When WWTC makes a comment like putting the defensive awareness slider on 100 will make the cpu AI pressure you in the neutral zone pre release, then the game comes out and we find that the def AI is an absolute mess and that statement isn't anywhere near true, not to mention the game is already out that means not much info til 2 weeks before 2k11 hits. Well yeah I think people have a right to be a little teed off about it.

It's great that Shadow is at least attempting some communication though, even if its not the detailed info we'd like to see.

What ever! It is not worth it! We will agree to disagree.

It's because you probably play at a skating speed in your sliders at 51 or above. Try adjusting your slider to any number below 50 & you will start seeing the freeze happen. Your screen will be stuck in a pre drop the puck screen. The linesman will never drop the puck to start gameplay. Btw... the freeze happens on the PS3 as well as the 360. (not sure about the wii)

I think the Defensive AI is fine. Yeah the defensemen could be a bit more aggressive, but overall the AI on both sides of the Ice is fine for me. Definately not any worse than EA's. Cups has been chirping in, just not here.

Really? Its fine that AI defensmen just back their way to the net then more often than not, then usually part like the Red Sea? Fine that they far more often than they should, aimlessly skate away from the play? Really? Thats "fine" to you? Wow I always though you were easy to impress Savoie but seriously. I guess the goalies doing head first diving poke checks 20 times a game is "fine" too.

Apparently you missed the part. The goalie head first dive is annoying, but can be controlled somewhat, by lowering the rebound slider. So you sacrafice one part of unrealistic play for another, but at least it gives up fewer easy goals for the Cpu. Complain all you want about 2K's lack of D intelligence, but don't forget, EA's game has its share of unresponsive teammates as well and I don't see you griping so loud about that on the EA forums. I know though, you just like to argue, but we'll just have to disagree.
