Setting Up in the Offensive Zone

I have a lot of trouble trying to get good shot opportunities. Usually when taking the puck over the line I have it, and then there's one teammate beside me or just behind me. I have three choices. Shoot quickly, pass it for one-timer, or wait for teammates to get a cycle set up, but if I do option 3, the other players are on me so fast that I can't complete a pass, my shots get blocked or I get a mean check. In other words, I can't set up for a good shot because the puck gets taken away from me before I can do anything with it. And my teammates are slow getting down ice.

On the other hand, when they get the puck in my zone, the CPU teammates don't go after the other team. They basically play matador, just letting the opponent set up whereever he wants and they don't forecheck, challenge the point, anything. Just wait for them to shoot. And his CPU guys get behind me alot. Most of their goals scored against me are from point-blank. Usually by rebound since none of my teammates will try to clear out the net to take rebounds.

In short - when I'm in CPU zone, I have no time to set up. When the cpu is in my zone, the teammates are passive and don't challenge anything.
