original6's 10 min. sliders - o6 ver 3

Well, I've been secretly testing out a spin on my other slider set, focusing on 10 minute periods and using the latest 10-14-09 roster update. I gotta say, I've had nothing but competitive and fun games with this set, which has been a breath of fresh air.

My last two games were a 4-2 (1 EN goal) win for me as the Wild vs. the Ducks and a 3-0 loss as the Avs vs. Detroit. The first game was surprisingly physical with quite a few PP's (go figure, since the Ducks lead the NHL in penalties in '08-'09). Backstrom was solid and kept the Wild in the game the whole way, despite getting peppered pretty good. Coincidentally, Belanger scored a nice clean wrister top shelf on Hiller, which he did in last night's NHL game. Kinda spooky............. The second game, the Wings totally dominated the game, except for a small flurry by my weak Avs in the 3rd period. Alas, the Wings were too powerful with goals scored by Datsyuk (breakaway), Zetterberg (clean wrister from the slot) and Franzen (rebound).

I've uploaded these to 2kshare as o6 ver 3. Please feel free as always to post comments, suggestions, and results. Happy hockey gaming!

How were the goalies at 48? I see you have CPU shot to 0? Do they take point shots? Looks good as usual. I am going to go try them in about 10 minutes

Very solid, Scott. I'm pretty sold on them there. Thanks for the idea of tweaking between 45 and 50. The save % was tidge high, but I'd rather adjust shot accuracy (now at 45) than mess with the goalies. I'm thinking of trying 47 or 48 there and see how it goes. Otherwise, I'm really pleased with the scoring right now. I'm not expecting perfection, especially since the cpu still shoots way too much, even with the shot frequency at zero.

Oh yeah, there's shot points by the cpu.

Sweet, if the patch can help with the goalie and the passive D (some times Even though I don't really see it all the time.) We will be having a hell of a hockey year bro!

Hell yeah! Truthfully, I'm not expecting anything major, but any little bit helps. Just the fact that they are giving us the heads up and actually putting one out is huge in my book. Definitely restores some faith in them.

The thing Steve is the D man play it right some times, so I am sure they might be able to patch that, becasue it is in the game. It was probably something programmed wrong. So I have hope for that one issues and the goalies too, they do make some great plays too, so maybe that is a program issue too. So I think they might be able to patch those. I could be wrong. I have no idea how to program a video game, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last weekend in Monterrey.

Glad to hear it, Finn. Haven't heard you use the word "a blast" when talking about 2k10. Happy gaming, bud!
