Original6's PRO Sliders

At the request of a few 2khockey.net members who have been enjoying my uploaded sliders, I'm posting my settings for 9 minute periods on PRO. Why PRO? Well, personally I believe it is much easier to tweak the game on PRO because you start with a "level" playing field and are not subject to the cpu boosts/cheats, which force you to dumb down everything. Anyway, my goal was to maintain good gameflow and to make a cpu opponent that would challenge you and shoot more from the points. I still believe there are a few more tweaks in the making, but for now, here's how they stand. Please feel to comment on the gameplay and make suggestions. Thanks.

BTW, these settings are not meant to be "ubersim", but rather challenging and fun with as much "realism" as possible.

These are the best sliders I ever used in any game. I downloaded your sliders and I am amazed how well the game play with your adjustments. I been playing with Venom sliders but this put the game on a whole another level.

These are the things that I notice so far:

Offense is so much better. I notice the offense is moving the puck really well
The hitting is realistic
Checking on the board is more common

Nope,just started a Dynasty on 08.Atmosphere and AI keep me drawn to EA's offering.Hopefully 2K makes these areas much better next year.

I also agree you must be Crazy its the only way you could be to play that disappointing game.
No matter what sliders you try to use to fix that broken game its just not worth it as you learn the cheats ect, kid yourself as you may but theres no learning curve. I think what EA is doing is great with responsive AI .(somebodies watchin me) Dont you want a challenge or do you just like winning 5-0 good stats ?
This game EA NHL 08 is always a challenge , each game is different .
I just dont feel it from 2k8 its seems so old gen.
99% of the time playing NHL 08 I know why I won or lost .
Your really have to change up your game in NHL 08 and adjust to situations ,you gotta think and I like that . Thinking is good !!!
But a few still prefer caveman hockey to each his own.
They need to scrap 2k and start fresh the game does 10 things great ex:goalies and 10 things bad ex:CPU AI.
Everything offsets each other , fix one thing brake another.

abcd (Patty) ---- this is getting old. We all know you tweaked 2k8 for a long time and decided to make the switch to 08. I also prefer 08 over 2k8. But there is no need to troll the 2k forum here at OS, or to troll other 2k related sites for that matter. All it's going to do is create some unnecessary flame wars.

There is an EA forum here where you can praise 08 to your heart's content. I agree with a lot of your comments on each game, but there is a place for these comments.
