This reeks of giving the established starter who's not performing well the rope to hang himself with if all reports are to be believed about him regressing.

Our quarterbacks are going to be so bad this year. So bad.

Although this is good news:

So we're going to move on without Aaron Schobel? That's news to me. He's been the one consistent for our defense and in my opinion, pretty underrated as a good strong defensive end. But the defensive scheme change (and he's 32) spelled the end for him. He may play this season, but it won't be for the Bills.

Thanks for your hard work, Schobel!!

I hopeful that Aaron is moved to a situation that can best use his talents and allow him to get some recognition.

From what I heard he wants to play in or around Houston, which is his home.

Re: [Buffalo Bills 2010] Just the good ol' boys, Never meanin' no harm

After watching the 1st half of the Washington game i'm convinced more then ever that the Bills are doomed. I will get the positives out of the way first though:

1. The first drive was actually called pretty well with a good balance and good timing. Trent did a great job of changing the call at the LOS 3 or 4 times in the drive and those calls worked.

2. The O-line for the most part looked pretty good. it looked light years better then last year and we had 3 starters out of the lineup so maybe just maybe the O-Line can keep it together.

3. Defense looks to be at the very least middle of the road with a pretty good rush D.

Now onto the bad....

After the 1st drive Edwards progressively got worse and worse. It was so bad he was trotted out there for almost the entire 1st half in the hopes that maybe he could finish his night out on a positive note, instead he looked like a steaming pile of dog poo.

Pass defense looks a bit suspect but i'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt as it's a transition from 4-3 to 3-4. I'm thinking the defense will get better by the end of preseason.

Bad penalties haunt this team AGAIN! At least it isn't as much as usual and not stupid penalties (save for the Maybin hit on McNabb)

If the Bills don't get the QB situation sorted out it's gonna be a LOOOOOONG year.

Great breakdown, man. Your last sentence tells the entire story for this year's team. Unfortunately, I've got no confidence at all in Trent Edward's ability to lead this team. He's a lame-duck and the sooner they bench his ***, the better.

Sadly, I believe we'll be luck to win 3 games this year.

Re: [Buffalo Bills 2010] Just the good ol' boys, Never meanin' no harm

I still don't think you can honestly evaluate the players in the "skill positions" when you have failed to draft / sign / goom a cohesive offensive line for at least a decade...

You can't run, pass or control the clock with a patchwork line...

All the decent teams have very solid O lines, where guys have played together for some period of time...

I'm still p*ssed they didn't give T.O.'s $$$ to Jason Peters last year...that, with Wood and Levitre would have been a good start to building something long term, IMHO...
