Great point. We haven't had a true cocky defensive player since Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuce and Biscuit.

My thoughts exactly when I saw the news yesterday. It's just such a weird story. He practiced Wednesday and was reportedly just fine. Then he goes into Jauron's office on Thursday to tell him he's having arthroscopic knee surgery...a procedure that normally only keeps you out a month. Then a few hours later, the team puts him on season-ending IR.

I think I speak for all Bills' fans when I say....WTF?!?!

I'm ****ing pissed. I really like Crowell and he was really becoming a good linebacker for the Bills.

Who takes over? Keith Ellison? He ain't bad, smallish, but not bad. Hurts the depth though.

Please, don't let us be decimated by injuries AGAIN. Last year was a freaking joke, we nearly had a guy die it was so bad.

Yeah, it'll be Ellison. And word out of Buffalo is that they're looking for another LB to sign since they're down to 5 healthy guys at the moment.

Re: Circle the Wagons...the 2008 Buffalo Bills Thread

Puz rolled his ankle in the same practice, yeah?

I swear, if the Bills put Angelo on IR to hurt his FA status... I will be PISSED.

It's one thing to be angry with a player for getting his knee cut on... it's a completely different matter if you put said player on IR to spite him... and thus rob the team of arguably their best player.

Hopefully that's not the case, and he really is hurt enough to be out for the year... but something is shady about how all of this went down.

Who knows the actual reasoning but I know from a reliable source that Crowell told the coaching staff he was getting the surgery and WANTED TO PLAY afterwards. He was completely shocked that the team put him on IR.

And thus ends the career of Crowell in Buffalo.

That pisses me off to no end. The guy has been a great talent for the Bills for many years, and its going to end because the team treats him like some scrub they can afford to lose so easily. UGH.

Smile...it's not all bad. Jason Peters is reporting to the team tomorrow.
