NFL Head Coach>Crappy playbooks?

I want to rebuild the Falcons and make another dynasty report in the HQ. But I want to rebuild from the Feb. 2008 offseason, but when I try to use the Falcons' playbooks they are either 'Very Weak' or 'Weak'.

For mularkey's heavy run scheme, it is and was one of the best playbooks last year, so is there a way to improve it without having to add plays yourself?

Also, Smith's Physical D I can just switch with Jaguars' Physical D. Because he ran that defense before he left for the Falcons' head coaching position so there isn't really much of a difference. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. [Reply]

I think even a Very Weak playbook can be effective if you have mastered the playbook; I wouldn't worry about the playbook rating. You could probably switch, but there might be minor differences. There are sometimes specific plays designed for each individual team's playbook; New orleans has some for Reggie Bush. [Reply]

I don't pay much attention to the playbook ratings. Even without adding my own plays, by the time you get done stealing plays over a few games and maybe letting coordinators replace a few plays when you sign them there is a lot of room for changing thing up. And I wouldn't feel too bad about changing the playbooks over time either. No coach comes into the NFL with a set number of plays and doesn't alter or tinker with the playbook constantly.

Playbook knowledge, coaching skills, and high caliber players count for a lot more that the actual playbooks anyway. [Reply]
