I’m so addicted to this game!

I got the game the weekend before last. Since that time, I’ve probably invested a good 30 hours (about 8 on Sunday alone), read 10,000 posts, redone the draft and offseason 75 times, and just last night, finished my 1^st season. I’m sitting here at work, writing stupid posts and looking for clues on my upcoming Sweetney draft (Is he worth trading up to get? Will Steve Jackson make do for the next few years? Is my need for offensive line help more important than RB? Will my girlfriend leave me if I spend another night ignoring her?), all the time, avoiding my real work. If I could only spend the same amount of time and effort for my taxes, they’d probably already be done and I wouldn’t be stressing on my real world laziness so bad right now.


I haven’t been sucked into a game like this since Oregon Trail.

I'm a recent HC convert as well. I have to try really hard not to play multiple weeks in my career, as I try and make a little time for The Show and a few other games I still enjoy playing...but this definitely takes up the majority of my gaming time right now.

I feel you man. this good is great. But honestly upgrade your line 1st. Steven Jackson will be good for you. Manage with him, upgrade your line. A dominant line is more important then RB. RB is a disposable position anyway...But then again in "this" game, u could take care of your RB, then your line. You can always find great O-lineman....especially late in the draft. RB...not so much...

I am normally a battle sim guy...age of empires...stuff like that. But this game has taken over. I also play madden and ncaa but I havent touched them since I got this game. My wife thinks I am crazy...I have 3 different teams going so I dont get to bored working on one (Browns, Panthers, Jets) and I have a notebook for each of them.

I play about 2 hours a night after everyone goes to bed and now I am on Spring Break so I play in the mornings as well before everyone gets up (like I do on the weekends)...plus I read this thing when I check my email...does that make me crazy???

What ever you can do to play the game. do it. I wake up early, i go to sleep late, its time consuming but we're coaches and GM's, the job is busy...lol....But im addicted to this game. Im workin im thinkin about draft stragedties, Free agency, my next game/gameplan...trust me u aint the only one.

I showed my wife this post and she laughed...said...yea a bunch of grown men addicted like this. She asked me what I had thought about this week except football...I thought for a minute and told her I did get the taxes finished over the weekend so I deserved a break...besides...I had to get ready for the draft and I wanted to be able to trade away my often injured le...she rolled her eyes and walked away laughing...
