WEEK 2

vs
CLEVELAND, OHIO:

VIKINGS: 28 (1-1)-----BROWNS: 10 (1-1)

**There will be no stats for this game, the wife thur them in the trash before I copied them down. She just don't get why we do this.

The Viks started out the game in good form, as the Vikings offense looked good for a change. Jackson hit his TE Watson for a quick 7-0 score. The defense looked like as if it was a different team hold the Browns to a 3 and out. However, Jackson then threw into double coverage getting picked off to give the Browns very good field condition. Anderson wasted no time to make the game 7-7. I managed to get another FG toward the end of the half...as yet again Peterson gets hurt and not return.

Defense had a great 2nd half forcing 2 fumbles and getting an Int for a TD. I also made the call to go with the Rookie QB Wyoming the rest of the way. Jackson tends to force the ball more, plus hardly ever checks down his receivers. Wyoming had 2 TD's and 1 int in the 2nd half, as the Viks seem to have more offense with Wyoming under center. He does hold the ball a bit too long getting sacked 4 times, but he at least checks off his receivers. The Defense held the Browns to a FG in the second half.

WEEK 3

VS
ST. PAUL, MINN:

LIONS: 7 (1-2)......VIKINGS: 21 (2-1)

The Vikings felt good coming off of last weeks win, and the offense showing signs of life. However, this week it was the defense that came to play. Keeping the Lions from crossing mid field during the first half the Viks held a small 7-0 lead as Peterson made a good run to cap off the only scoring of the 1st half. Vikings looking to go up by 2 scores, Wyoming pass was picked off in the endzone as the half came to a close.

Viking defense again looked good causing a turnover to set up another Viks score. Wyoming found his TE Watson over the middle for a 14 - 0 lead midway thur the 3rd. The Lions managed to get things going to cut the lead to 14 -7. However, that would be all the lions would get, as the Viks finished strong getting another TD from Wyoming to make the final 21-7.

FRANCHISE NOTES:

As some might have seen, I've been testing the pts effect on the coaching staff. I have found that the more pts you apply your team becomes too good too fast. So, I will not be upgrading any skills for the coaching staff untill years end.

This way, I will have to hope the plays I have are good enough, vs getting the boost from the coaching staff. I have just seen too many teams on the board that are very very good too fast, and I think it is because of the skills are too easy to get. If you put pts on your qb...any rookie qb will look like a Manning instead of a rookie.

WEEK 4

--VS--

CHICAGO, IL:

VIKINGS: 55 (3-1)......BEARS: 0 (1-3)

Once again the defense lead the way with a total of 7 turnovers, as the Viks crushed the Bears. Peterson got things started early capping a nice 15 yd run to make it 7-0 Viks. Bears QB B. Betts first pass was an int to SS Rusell, to give the Viks great field position. Peterson once again took it in to make it 14-0 Viks.
It was all Viks as the Bears once again turned it over, and Peterson put the Viks up 21 - 0 with is 3rd TD of the day. The Viks get a FG to close out the first half 24 - 0.

It was all Viks in the 2nd half, as Viks QB Wyoming had a great day getting 2 second half TD's. However it could have been worst for the Bears as the young QB did get an int in the endzone to kill a drive. The Bears where just overmatched with only 1 healthy RB on the roster.

WEEK 5

---VS---
ST. PAUL, MINN:

PACKERS: 9 (2 - 3)....VIKINGS: 29 (4 - 1)

The Vikings again looked very sharp, as N. Wyoming lead the Viks down for an eary score hitting his TE Watson across the middle for a great 48 yd catch. The Pack, had a nice drive themselfs but had to settle for a FG to cut the lead 7-3. Viks again had no problem with Peterson having a good run to make it 14 -3. The next series the Pack where called for holding to put the ball on the 5 yd line. Next play, the Viks stopped Grant in the endzone for a safety 16 - 3.

Next half started ok for the Pack, as they had a nice run by Grant to cut the lead to 16 - 9, but missed the 2 pt conversion. It was all Viks the rest of the way, as Wyoming had his 2nd TD of the day hitting Berrian in the cornor of the endzone to make it 23 - 9. Viks got 2 easy field goals late in the game to make the final score.

Re: Vikings Franchise ....a new era..(Season 2)

GAME NOTES:

I'am checking to see it the CPU will play a different game due to fatigue issues with the CPU. I'am going to try and play a few with 13 min clock instead of the normal 15 min acc clock. I am hoping to see if the CPU will sub his RB. I feel that the CPU is just wearing down, both Offensive and Defensive, because of the Subs or lack of.

WEEK 7

---VS---
ST. PAUL, MINN:

RAVENS: 24 (1 - 5)......VIKINGS: 30 (5 - 1)

As I have stated earlier, I changed the play clock to 13 min qtr, to see how the CPU would play. Hoping to get the CPU to sub, however it did not sub the RB...but sure played better.

The Ravens came into the game planning on blitzing the rookie QB at every chance. It worked and backfired at the same time. Wyoming kept finding the TE across the middle. Viks took and eary 7-0 lead with Watson getting the score to make it 7-0. Ravens answered with a very nice drive with RB McGahee getting the score to make it 7-7. Viks got going again after a fumble recovery for a TD to make it 14 - 7. Ravens drive yet again to get a FG. Viking again drive down on the running of Peterson, to set up another score to make it 21 - 7. The Ravens used the clock very well...but had to settle for a FG to close out the scoring 21 - 10.

Ravens got a very good KO return to open the half, to make it a short field for Ravens QB Flacco, who hit, Williams for an easy score to make it 21 -17. Viks could do better than get a FG to make it 24 - 17. Another turnover by the Ravens set up another FG to make it 27 - 17. Ravens get another good drive to set up Flacco 2nd TD of the game to make it 27 - 24. Viks close out the scoring with another FG to make the final 30-24.

Defense was the key....as both teams combined for 15 sacks in the game. I don't know if this was the style of play...or something to do with me changing the clock. I noticed that both teams where getting pressure from the front 4....so we will see.

VIKINGS:

PASSING:

N. WYOMING: 24/32/342 yds/2 td/1 int/117.3 rating (9 sacks)

WEEK 8

...VS...
ST. PAUL, MINN:

BENGLES: 34 (3-4)......VIKINGS: 37 (6-1)

First, I must say, I'am gonna have to turn the play clock down to about 10 min. This game took forever to play, with more than avg plays per team...maybe because if was an offensive shootout.

There where so many pts scored in this one...it would take a full page to write it all out. I will just give the basics....don't want to bore you. The Viks just gave up too many big plays, as Palmer had 3 passes over 50 yds for TD's. The Viks, had to drive each time but Peterson had a good game. Palmer had 5 TD passes...I have never gave up that many. Luckly I did get a fumble very late in the game, as the Bengles where on their way for a win

VIKINGS:

PASSING:

N. WYOMING: 26/36/321 yds/4 td/136.4

RUSHING:

A. PETERSON: 36/184 yds/5.1 avg

RECEIVING:

B. WATSON: 8/106 yds/2 td
B. BERRIAN: 6/90 yds/1 td
R. BROWN: 5/59 yds/1 td

DEFENSE:

M. WRIGHT: 11 tks/3 tfl
A. WINFIELD: 7 tks

BENGLES:

PASSING:

C. PALMER: 26/37/388 yds/5 td/2 int/121.4 rating

RUSHING:

R. JOHNSON: 22/25 yds/1.1 avg

RECEIVING:

A. CALDWELL: 9/114 yds/1 td
T. HOUSH..: 8/130 yds/2 td
C. JOHNSON: 6/123 yds/2 td

DEFENSE:

M. WHITE: 16 tks/2 tfl
B. SILER: 14 tks/2 tfl
A. GRAIG: 9 tks/1 tfl
