NFL Comparisons is screwed up

I'm working on my second career, and I'm going in to the start of the offseason after my third season and a lot of my NFL Comparisons are screwed up. By that I mean that many players have NFL Comparisons for players at different positions. I had a QB who compared to Issac Bruce, a WR that compared to Ty Law, a LB that compared to Al Harris, and all sorts of other strange ones.

Will this affect my draft class and will I have to restart because the draft class is screwed up?

wow never seen that before. Might be screwed up, or is your GM really really bad?

Re: NFL Comparisons is screwed up

In year 4 of my Franchise, almost everybody outside of the 1st round has the same exact comparison.

I'll have 10 WRs with a "Cotchery" comparison. Or 10 HBs with a "Derrick Ward" comparison.

In the NFL Scout Combine, many of the prospects have virtually identical Combine results.

It looks like there are just many duplicate prospects.

I have Ron Spielberg with the Vikings. He stared as a 77 and now he is a 82 with small school insider, mid major insider, and big school insider.

Re: NFL Comparisons is screwed up

I'll give you hint I have discovered. If your looking for sleepers in a draft, never draft a guy that has an NFL comparison in common with more then 1 player in that same class (this is in case you dont know how good that NFL player is). For instance take the Derrick Ward example any RB compared to him rarely has a Pot. of more then 77. So don't bother drafting him. But most of the time there is a QB compared to Drew Brees who has a Pot. of about the 88-91 (field general philosophy).

I had one example of this where a CB was compared to Devin Hester. I just assumed this was due to his return capability or his speed (also that was Hester's original position). But it doesn't seem like a game could make that connection.

Re: NFL Comparisons is screwed up

they could also be comparing the personality traits of the players too

the Issac Bruce and stuff could mean that he's like a Matt Jones type where he's a QB now but u should change him to WR.

Re: NFL Comparisons is screwed up

I had a WR comparison to a CB, drafted him, and the WR had MCV 75, ZCV 79. His tackling is just okay but he intercepts any ball he gets his hand on. I kept him at WR, but he's actuall my 4th WR and my 4th CB.

I'm glad to hear there are more players out there that may be like this, it's a cool little twist to the game.

Re: NFL Comparisons is screwed up

I've seen the cross-positional comparisons too.

Luckily, none of them have been "elite" comparisons, so it didn't make me consider picking them up.

And I agree on the issue of certain comparisons being very common.

In my career, at least, it seems Vinny Ciurciu got himself cloned and is pumping out an army of mediocre MLB's.
