With all these last minute adjustments, when is the game going into production for Tuesday release day?

Just a thought.

The game's been gold forever. Your local Gamestop should already have the disc. They usually get them early and sit on them. The updates mentioned are for a roster update and possible patch,

It's been gold ages Claystone...some of the adjustments have been made for the roster update and you never know, based on all of our feedback the guys might decide that the game may warrant a patch to fix anything major...from Bill's impressions all sounds pretty well out of the box..although there could be a glitch with fumbling, but we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Remember that Head Coach, unlike Madden, has a full set of sliders.

I wonder of the fumbling issue is anything like last year's Madden where you could cover the ball in anticipation of the first hit, but the second hit in group animation was considered uncovered. Plus there were a lot of fumbles caused by the ground that the CPU never bothered to challenge. But yeah, I remember leading the league in halfback fumbles every year in Madden 08. And HC is based on that engine. Hmmmmm.

Jamal Lewis had 3 fumbles in game 3 and I think I was about 6:00 to go in the 3rd -- just too tired to finish it. (I think Jamal had 4 for the entire season last year)

Could this be a fatigue issue that is causing this? I do tend to work Lewis like a dog, but it's not likle he's hitting the 30 carry mark, either. Any ideas? Is this just random bad luck? Will sliders affect this at all? I had the fumble issue in my Jets preseason game when I had 5, but the Bears game was fine, as was the Giants game. They tend to come in bunches. Also, Dallas isn't fumbling like I am so I wonder if it's something I'm doing.

And man, Romo is one tough guy to stop! He is shredding my secondary like they're...well, the Browns.
Lewis only had something like 3 fumbles last year. So this is a little bit of a concern.

A random thought at 5AM -- is it possible that the Cowboys focused on stripping the football? I know that there's a list of things that a team can work on in practice during the week -- is it possible that they focused on stripping the ball? If so, I think it needs toned down quite a bit. Also, it's possible that I'm just an idiot...

An idea on the fumbles -

Bill mentioned that he failed some goals in the preseason regarding getting a number of plays "learned". For those plays, they're gonna take a ratings hit and be more likely to screw up if that's the case, right? Maybe what he's now seeing is the backlash from that. Bill, is the CPU fumbling as much as you are?

Keep em coming, the release can't get here soon enough.

Re: Bill Abner's first Head Coach Impressions

I believe Bill said the CPU wasn't having this problem, and he didn't have a lot of fumbles in every game. This is the first thing about the game I have been a bit concerned with since Madden has had fumble issues in the past. But with sliders we should at least be able to fix things a bit.

I'm not sure how I feel about not learning a play affecting fumbling. I can see running outside when he should run inside, but would not knowing where blockers are have a negative impact on his ability to hold the football?

I hear you about '08's fumbling issues - That was the first thing I thought about too. But they pretty much fixed that in the patch, right?
