The personnel in each play is tied to play itself so the personnel will reset based on what play you call. There is a 'Quick Subs' option on the play call screen though that will allow you to sub in players for the next play.

Also, included are the typical depth chart management screens.

The Play Creator allows you to sub just about any player on your team into any position in your play. So, you can create a prevent defense with Randy Moss playing 'Center Field.'

Items will come up in the Coach Clipboard during game about the Fatigue and Injury status of your players with coach recommendations on subbing them out.

Ha! I fixed this yesterday. Players will run just about as fast possible in the Play Creator when you are moving them around and subbing them in.

Defining Moments appear at any time throughout the game based on the situation. You are just as likely to get one in the first quarter as you are in the fourth.

They do call the play, but they also provide insight into what is going on on the field.

Sorry, I can't really comment on exactly how we do this. Hope its enough to say that we have tuned the penalty frequency to a point where they won't be annoying, but you will still have to deal with them.

The crowd (fans) play a roll in your overall approval rating. Aside from that there is no concept of 'Home Field Advantage.'

Cheers Chris - thanks for the reply....glad you've fixed the speed issue on the play editor as well, that looked like it could be a little frustrating! ....no probs with the penalties, I understand ;-)

Few more for you Josh - let me know when you're sick of me!

With regard to players and the makeup of the roster, I appreciate potential is the key factor for an individual. As for the team ethic/chemistry are there other ratings that count towards this ie. veteran leadership, influence etc?

Do players & coaches have dislikes/likings for other particular players & coaches?

Progressive fatigue - is this in the game and if so is there a toggle on/off? If it is in the game I presuming it will apply to cpu teams as well? eg. you could cancel practice for a week to let the team recover?

With the amount of depth in this game I wouldn't be suprised to see traffic jams on the roads outside the office during rush hour or gameday!...(only joking)

So say im playing as the Chargers and im playing aginst the Steelers and they are blitzing on a pretty constant basis. I want to keep more people at home to help block but i still want to pass. What can i do in the play creator/editor to help myself out?

Any chance that you've got an update on the jerseys used in Head Coach 09? Please don't use the Madden 08 jerseys in HC 09. Those were so far off and inaccurate it is just bad, just ask Ian. Please do take a long look at getting the jersey fixes in Josh, I'm beggin' ya!

I watched a interview and it was mentioned that if your team was doing bad that a player would start doing real good to help you out. Will there be a option to turn off help like that?

Man, I hope so! I want this to be a challenge. I don't need any gifts from the cpu.
