Player rating changes

It is about that time of year again... time to haggle over player ratings. In honor of the player rating being released at E3 I thought I'd start my initial player ratings thread. If you don't know I take the first good roster set and change the ratings to make them more accurate (using the Phil Steele mag among others). This year I thought I'd reach out to the operation sports community to help me. Two main questions for you guys.

1. Any obvious errors that need to be changed? (ex. Taylor Martinez speed)

2. The always highly debatable do any players deserve a 99 overall ratings.

Re: Player rating changes

2 players for Michigan St. who are projected to be first round picks next year.

William Gholston, is only an 84, the guy is a beast and should be higher. He's one of the best defensive lineman in the nation.

Johnny Adams, is only an 85 (the same as last year), projected by some to be the top corner in next year's draft, should be higher

Also, one of our starting linebackers, Chris Norman, isnt even in the game. Should be rated around the mid 80s

Of course SOMEONE deserves a 99. The whole thing is graded on a curve. You can't grade on a curve if nobody sets the highbar.

Tavon Austin should be rated higher than a 90. He led the nation last year in all purpose yards and he is a senior this year. (WVU)

Nah, I think all of the players ratings should be lower actually. If you have ever played FIFA, you know what i'm talking about. Messi is the highest rated player @ a 94 OVR.

I agree, but only to a point. Imo 99 ovr's should be reserved for "once in a generation" type players. (i.e. Barry Sanders in his Heisman season).

1. Increase Taylor Martinez's speed.
2. Decrease Taylor Martinez's throw accuracy.

Re: Player rating changes

Yeah someone mentioned it but William Gholston is MSU's best player.

Re: Player rating changes

I really feel it for all of the MSU fans. Last year they left our best defensive player out of the game. Gholston is a beast though, and I have seen multiple responses on various websites about it.

Georgia Tech's Tevin Washington needs to be about an 83 instead of an 89
Orwin Smith needs to be about 88
Rod Sweeting needs to be around 85
Louis Young needs to be around 83
We don't even know who our punter is but apparently he is 85 overall?

If UNC, NC State and Virginia are 91 overall, we need to be higher than 88.

If anyone is going to be 99 overall, I'd say Lattimore.
