Actually, they said the conference prestige is based off the top 6 schools so switching out the bottom Big 10 team with Eastern Michigan won't affect effect anything.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

yea i forgot about dynamic conferences. that should help with the bcs polls. but with comparing the SEC(tier 1) with the MAC(tier 2), there 'should' be no reason an undefeated MAC team surpasses an SEC team with 1-2 losses (unless the MAC team had an unbelievable OOC schedule). even then, im not too sure that should happen

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

I'm starting to hate this thread. Everytime I think I have my realignment the way I want it, I come here read a couple of posts and doubt creeps into my plans.

Wow, mine are very close to these.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...kE&output=html

Based on the assumption of not being able to change names or add/remove conferences.

The link to the google doc includes Sagarin ratings for the last 4 years.

Goal is to have the conferences by geography.

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

Alright I have a question. When you split up a rivalry, does the game automatically put it on schedule? For example, if I put Texas in the Big 12 and Oklahoma in the MAC will the red river shootout still take place?

Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

Have they altered this at all this year? Ie removing the limit of changes and sizes of division

Red face Re: YOUR plans for Conference Re-Alignment

I'll be basing it completely off of what other teams finish in. But the plan is, make the Big East/ Big 12 competitive again. Instead of the much expected 16 team conferences, I want to go in a different direction and spread the talent around.

Or ill go in a different direction, making my version of the 16 team conferences
