I really can't think that any of that was NCAA 2012....sorry. I don't have much faith after 5 years of this same BS. I respect your opinion of you think it is 12, I just think that is being wishful at this point.

This is looking good to me IMO. I personally like NCAA 12 last year, and i is a step in the right direction in NCAA 13

Yeah but tendency's were broken in 2012. Which killed dynasty for me this year. The WR/DB ,and DL/OL interactions are pretty bad. I personally think its not far from being a really good game.

I will give the NCAA team this much. At least they seem to understand over the last two or three years whats important to add or attempt to fix. With them placing priority on momentum, coaching carousel, and this year the passing game. My issue has been the execution has been awful.

There was a time where we were getting things like mini games, mascount games, team builder, etc. If nothing else I'm happy they at least understand the problems and not pretend they don't exist(even if they won't admit it until they've attempted to fit it LOL).

The thing I noticed that makes me believe this footage is from a build of '13 is that the LSU CB is actually looking at the WR in all of those clips.

I never noticed that in '12. They just ran along with the WR, but in these clips the DB's head is turned toward the WR until he whips it around to intercept the pass.

I play online ranked games too but that's because it's the best way for me to find out how solid the game play really is. EA's QA sure doesn't and can't be expected to find all the glitches and bugs but people online do, REAL QUICK! lol

Also, it seems you misunderstand my plan for purchasing the game. If I buy the game from say Target, not necessarily on release day, more likely after the named rosters drop, then I have 15 days to return the opened game for an exchange or store credit, for the FULL purchase price.

The biggest problem I can see from the dimmed passing icons is if you run the Air Raid offense. The Shallow series of plays featured heavily in an Air Raid offense often utilizes a quick pass that is thrown before the receiver has barely started his route. The square in receiver has an option of being the "hot" receiver on this play, and thus having to wait for the icons to un-dim could render this play obsolete

LOL. I think you forget this is an internet forum and things can easily get lost in translation.

I have "lol" in my previous reply, showing I found the humor in your post but in your first reply it seemed as if you didn't understand my original point, so I attempted to clarify. It's not about getting NCAA 13 ASAP that matters to me, it's actually having the chance to play it for myself, whenever and hopefully having an option to return it, if I don't like it.

No biggie though.

To sorta piggyback on this and potentially get flamed, the more I look at that part of the vid, it appears to be good trail technique, not "psychic DB". I will admit that the transitional animations don't look that good with the way EA football games seem to allow players to turn on a dime, which maybe why the play doesn't look organic but those picks and batted balls seemingly are a result of a poor pass, not psychic DB.

The DB doesn't appear to run the route before the WR, the DB is underneath and trailing the WR the entire time, reacting to the WR's movements. It's not until after the WR turns their head to look for the ball, that the DB does. At that point, due to the poor placement of the pass, the DB is in better position to make a play on the ball than the WR.

So basically, imo, on some of those plays they are demonstrating a poor throw by the QB as a result of throwing across their body.

I think that is all NCAA 13 footage too and aside from the legacy transitional animation issues, seems to be an improvement. Now if on Tuesday they say that was NCAA 12 footage, all my credibility is shot and I will stop speculating about NCAA 13. lol

This imo is a big thing that seems overlooked all the time due to the other major shartcomings of the game; its gaining steam as we go along though. The way Ea animates creates these horrible transitions where an animation should play out (in other titles) and thus making the game look like robotic and wonky. It isn't out of the realm of possibility have an animation where the DB cuts and looks back like the WR and we'd all say it looks right. The way it is now, even if it is right our eyes see lack of momentum and and insta turn thus giving us the WRONG going off in our heads.

That being said even with missing animations that could be added, there are things that shouldn't exist, like the one scene of the DE doing a quick turn to sack the QB. That stuff is bad mo matter the animation used. The realist in me doesn't think that stuff will change drastically this gen though. Maybe with the piecemeal way of them ripping code out and redoing it better new line logic and animations will come along soon. I don't expect 13 to have it MINUS THE DAMN DT LOGIC. That needs to be fixed yesterday.
