I thought the gameplay was the biggest issue this gen?

When they fix the this are we all going to pile on the gameplay? Or Vice Versa.

you guys make me lol.

what really kills the game for me is when crap happens that shouldn't, when I see super LBs, WRs not even trying, god-awful blocking, insane CPU comebacks, etc the game atmosphere is already out the window and something I'm not even thinking about. IMO, they can make a game atmosphere feel like real life but if the actual football game is terrible, it won't be fun
I agree they need to re-do or add alot more because we have pretty much heard the same stuff for years on end..

And ya everything will repeat itself sooner(no pun intended) or later but it would add a bunch to the game IMO...

Kick a last second feild goal and all you get is .... "It's good game over" every time

I like that EA will add the team celebrating with rivalry trophies. That adds a little to those types of game. And I'm also liking that they updated The Cotton Bowl with the full upper deck.

Well, once I see hummingbird movement, stiff blocking interactions, and bowling-pin defenders on the opening kickoff, I'm pretty well ready to turn the game off right there, but having a dead stadium and boring commentary doesn't help the issue either.

That's nice, I suppose, but EA needs to ramp up the atmosphere of big games AS the game is being played.

The crowd needs to be festive and loud. The commentators need to be *aware* that it's Texas vs Oklahoma and not Texas Southern vs Oklahoma Tech.

More cutscenes isn't really addressing anything if the other stuff is still dead.

And to be clear olemiss86, I'm not coming at you or anything. I just wanted to emphasize that while I do like cut scene trophy presentations, I don't think that is the fix to the problem that the OP and others have with big game atmospheres. I don't even think trophy presentations would be a step towards correcting the actual problem.

It's like me needing gas for my car, but someone giving me brand new wheels.

Something I think that would help with this is having different broadcasting teams.
Example, lowest level games have a radio style or ESPNU
Mid tier has local TV style, ESPN2 (with generic announcers).
Highest Tier has ESPN, ABC (with guys like Brad, Herbie etc).
That way you get some variety, plus when you hear Brad and Herbie commentating for your game, you know its a big one, where if you hear Joe and Jack, it must not be a national spotlight game.

Re: Red River Shootout=Ordinary game for EA

Yes! Aside from the gameplay issues is the actual in-game atmosphere. Im not talking about cutscenes.

Im tired of hearing bands that sound recorded instead of sounding like a live band.

Im tired of the bands automatacally stops playing when you snap the ball.

Theres hundreds of songs that college bands play, why does every single team on this game play the same songs. Every team should be unique.

Let the commentators get into the game weather its a rivalry game or a 1* school bout to upset a 5* school. I want to feel this emotion and tension for big games. Bring in story lines, use ESPN to hype up the games.

Its 2012, yet NCAA is still bare bones with flawed game-play.
