I have carsons rosters and Denard shows as balanced but in week 8 he has 544 yards rushing and when I played michigan he ran 12 times on me.

I just tried to start a dynasty and let the computer name the rosters for me and the roster glitch did not occur.

But when I changed one thing on a player it caused the effect to take place.

Does this mean even if we use default rosters, and later edit incoming recruits, this effect will throw everything out of wack??

I could test it myself but I'm wondering if any of you have tried this yet to see what happens.

A large number of them had changed. Its easier for me to say the ones that didn't, 2 possession recievers I had were still possession. But QB was changes to scrambler from balanced and a bunch of others. I stuck in some screenshots so you can see.

I have more but here is QB and HB changing. Oh and just to verify I only went into Edit Roster to view them I didn't press A at anytime to even open their edit menu. So these changes all on their own without me doing anything to them in edit. They still showed the right thing on the Cut Player roster but were different on Week 1 roster so there you go, proven. :P

^^^^This is why I will be waiting for the patch. There is no way I want every recruit, each year, playing to the opposite tendency.

If I knew that recruits kept their tendencies, I would just used numbered rosters for the first few years, no big deal. But as SGMRock pointed out, this roster glitch has far reaching impacts for dynasty mode.

According to past posts, it will happen to recruits even if you don't edit them.

When are we going to stop buying unfinished, broken games? How many times of receiving a broken product right out of the box is it going to take to start a serious boycott? WE are EA's unpaid QA department, and it's not right... Waiting a month, or longer, for the first official bugfix patch is also unacceptable. I'm sorry if this seems like a "bash EA to make me feel better" post, that's not my intent.

Simply put, every year this Gen, EA has given me a broken product. Before patches became industry standard, EA never had glaring issues such as this. Games were much more complete upon release. I'm just tired of EA shipping a broken game and then promising to fix it later, instead of finding these things before release and fixing them then.

Does this also change for the all the CPU teams in a dynasty? If i'm playing a Michigan dynasty, do the auto-generated purdue recruits change as well? because if only my recruits change, I can live with that.

All of you guys involved in this thread I could use some help testing something else that could be related to this bug. I was reading the Dynasty/RTG Impressions thread this morning and noticed some people talking about stats of their QB's once they got to college.

If anyone has that 5 star QB DLC boost or feels like playing a couple RTG HS seasons through today could you see if you play a Balanced QB what stats you get once you start your first week of college and also try playing in HS as a Scrambling QB and see what stats you get first week of college.

I have a theory that even in RTG if you pick Balanced you might be getting a Scrambling QB and a Scrambling QB might be getting Balanced stats.

I'm going to test MLB because I happen to have bought the LB boost DLC after having tried 2 seasons in HS to get a 5 star LB and only being able to get a 4. :P It was only a $1 anyway. I'm going to try doing a Balanced LB and a Run Stopper one the two that swap on the roster bug and see if its happening with RTG players too. I can just sim through HS as I know I will finish with 5 stars which will probably show the biggest difference in attributes when you get into College.

Using this theory, I'd have to boycott every sports game that I play. Including those made by 2k, SCEA and THQ. No thanks. I'm smart enough to know the score with buying any sports game on release day. 9 times out of 10 there's a bug that requires immediate dev attention but, 9 times out of 10 the bug isn't bad enough for me to not enjoy the game.

Ok so here is what I got for all three types of MLB in RTG. These are all equal 5 star recruits of each type.

Balanced / Run Stopper / Coverage in that order left to right below
Overall 89 / 90 / 90
Speed 82 / 79 / 84
Accel 78 / 77 / 79
Agility 74 / 73 / 76
Aware 77 / 77 / 78
Tackle 87 / 89 / 86
Play Rec 87 / 87 / 86
Blck Shd 77 / 77 / 78
Pursuit 83 / 87 / 86
Zone Cov 85 / 82 / 89
Man Cov 82 / 78 / 86
Hit Pow 76 / 85 / 74
Catch 73 / 73 / 74
Strength 87 / 89 / 86
Power Mv 87 / 87 / 86
Fines Mv 73 / 73 / 74
Jumping 76 / 76 / 74

So those seem correct based on player type. There are a couple questionable ones there though but nothing major. You would think jumping would be higher on the coverage guy and that block shedding would be higher on the run stopper but mostly they seem right for the player type you picked in RTG.

So some good news on that front.
