NCAA Football 12 Roster Glitch Confirmed, Patch to Address Concerns

Ignorance is bliss....to some degree. I really knew something was up with I played Michigan and Denard scrambled once the entire game.

I should have known better than to get my hopes up and buy this game on release day. I have no doubt the folks at EA will patch this up nicely, but I don't want to wait til mid August for that to happen.

What I still don't get (and I've mentioned it before) is why this is a problem now? I'm pretty sure they are using the same code as they have in the past for this and what could have messed it up? If they didn't change anything this makes no sense.

Denard vs me offline just now had 16 rushing attempts for 95 yards. i was using the latest OS Community update.

Was he taking off on his own or where they designed runs. Which sliders where you using?

This right here. When in the history of NCAA has a patch destroyed named/edited rosters? I can't think of any.

I'm using the community rosters, as well. I just checked in my Washington St. OD and through 9 weeks CPU Denard is averaging 84 yards a game rushing. He was actually the Big Ten Player of the Week in Week's 1 and 9. In week 1 versus Western Michigan his stat line was 21-31, 275 yards, 10 carries for 80 yards, 5 TDs. In Week 9 versus Purdue, 15-30, 277 yards, 21 carries for 95 yards, 4 Total TDs.

I don't think this is the "stop playing NCAA 12 now"/ "return your broken game"/ "the sky is falling" type bug that many are making it out to be.

Sorry if this has been answered already, but does the glitch happen if you simply edit a player's equipment or appearance? I'm playing with auto-named rosters and don't want to screw things up if I edit a guy's facemask.

Yes, it does. Whether the sim stats are affected however, seems to be kinda random based on results I've seen. Look at the above posts.

Maybe a couple reasons for this?

1) The "tendency" save location that is used for CPU sim results could be different than what gets used when a user plays in a game (playing as or against a player). I think on the "high level" view the tendency shows one thing, but when you go to edit a player, its listed differenty. Could be discrepancies there.

2) This issue may not be impacting everyone...maybe you were spared? Who knows, lots of variance here.


By all means, keep playing your game though. Each individual measures the value of a product differently. If you are having fun, then thats all that matters!
