I've seen it called. It's not always called, but it is called.

Correct me if I am wrong... but in college.. you can "throw the ball away" from within the tackle box as long as the ball passes the LOS. If the ball doesnt go past the LOS, and within the tackle box, then it is intentional grounding.

You are wrong. You have to both be outside the tackle box, AND the ball have to go past the LOS for it to not be intentional grounding.

I thought you could get rid of the ball if you're under pressure..

Re: Intentional Grounding???

I hate how this game calls Intentional grounding just by when you press the throw away button if you're in the pocket. Sometimes I'll be under pressure and hit it but there is clearly a WR standing right by the sideline but since i hit the "Throw away" button its an automatic Intentional grounding.

Surprisingly yes, you being a douche? I guess I misinterpreted the rule or something.. In that case, you can get rid of the ball if you're out of the pocket and you have to get it past the LOS, if you're in the endzone and you get an intentional grounding call it's a safety.. There you go.
