Honestly I wasn't implying that at all. I was just saying that it didn't look copper. I'm not accusing anyone of being dumb (except for asu of course...). My apologies for the mix-up.

My fault Dr. Death. His name isn't spelled very intuitively. Should have looked it up. Looks like it created quite a stir though...

No worries, my man. I'm in KC too... and I never see any Nazi's around these parts. I should have Googled Charlie Weis and then none of this would have happened. But you have nothing to apologize for!

I wish Michigan was still a nike school, but they offered a bad deal. Adidas offered the largest apparel deal for any school and they took it. Adidas sucks compared to nike in every way other than that check they cut...

What makes Nike so great? It didn't bother me one way or the other.

No tendrils, their new uniform technology doesn't distort the entire uniform, armpits aren't visible on every single player, numbers aren't distorted (this isn't a widespread issue but occasionally there are some pretty f-d up ones) and shoulder stripes are longer.

Because the companies are going to want to outfit their schools in the latest technology it boils down to this:
Nike Pro Combat > Adidas Techfit

There's also the fact that pretty much all of Adidas' gear has the 3 stripes on it (this is bad because it looks bad and/or forced in nearly every situation, I'm not one of those people who is opposed to company's putting their maker's mark on the stuff they produce). Tech is a Russel Athletic school, so a majority of our gear is produced by them but all major suppliers make apparel for the Jackets and the stuff Nike produces for Tech trumps the stuff Adidas does.

Until Adidas updates their uniform technology getting rid of the stretch-fit aspect they will be the lesser supplier (maybe not in functionality but certainly in terms of appearance).

Yeah, we're Russell too and most of our apparel is Russell obviously, which, I don't know if it's just me, but they don't fit me that well. Russell shirts all have a wide collar compared to my Nike shirts and they kinda throw off the whole shirt. If I wear an under shirt then you can see it cause of the wide collar, and if I don't then I show more of my shoulders than I care too.

I do wish we could get some bigger companies to make our apparel, but what do you expect, we're WKU lol. Someday, I can dream.

EDIT: I must add though, I give a huge shout out to Russell for our beautiful uniforms this year. Going classic was amazing. However the years before this latest design were pretty nasty in my opinion compared to some of the stuff Nike and Adidas did for schools.

In this case, it's the tradition vs. plain argument. Michigan's Nike uniforms were pretty much traditional, aside from the piping on the away jerseys that adidas also implemented. But those UTL/ Legacy uniforms are ugly as hell.
