Arizona is the leader in copper mining, its why the Diamond Backs had Copper in the original color scheme, its why the Wranglers used copper for their helmets, and its why the Rattlers wear copper helmets. That picture is clearly has a filter on it, now Pewter would still look pewter with a filter on it but Copper would look more like pewter with the same filter. It makes no sense for it to be pewter, it makes a lot of sense for it to be copper, unless Nike and ASU are completely blowing a chance to show state pride its Copper.

They do have a copper lookin color (listed as metallic gold) on their graphics sheet as an accent color.

Not to be a smart a**, but yeah I was born & raised in AZ, so I pretty much know all that lol. What I was trying to imply was that it just doesn't look like copper. You could very well be right on the filter or what not. I guess we'll really find out when they actually wear them.

I wasn't implying you were unaware of Copper's significance in the state, I was building the case for the helmets being copper. I responded because you implied we were dumb for suggesting it was copper. As for the filter, there is definitely one in that picture, the only question is whether or not the helmet is copper or some other color under that filter.
