How do I fix the QB passing percentage of simmed games

Please tell me their is a fix to it as it is very annoying...When I sim a game and look at the stats my QB would be like 14/34 for 150 yards and 2 TDs, well I thought it was just my QB as I am Northwestern and figured he wasn't that good. I then began to look at stats of the other team's QBs and saw that after going through 30 teams none had a QB with a completion % higher than 50%.

This is very annoying as I don't feel like playing the cupcakes so I can keep my completion % high but the other QB's in the game also suffer which just makes it very unrealistic.

Re: How do I fix the QB passing percentage of simmed games

ok I am in year 2011 and here are some things I found

Average QB's passing % was in the low to mid 40's

some notable QB's %

Tate Forcier (90 overall) completed only 45% of his passes

Russel Wilson (89 overall) completed 48 % of his passes for 11 TDs and 18 INTS...just like real life huh?

Landry Jones ( 89 overall) completed only 41% of his passes

Only 11 QBs in the NCAA that year had a compeltion % over 55%

Only 2 QBs were higher than 70%

Only 5 QBs were 60-69 %

that right there is just plainly put unacceptable.

about 80-90 of the QBs completed less than 50 % of their passes so there is no denying it.

Re: How do I fix the QB passing percentage of simmed games

I notice this problem as well for sim stats and I was thinking maybe when he posted that it was due to my pass accuracy sliders being low but I guess it is just another flaw in how this game generates sim stats. Kind of like how alot of rb's have runs of around 15 yards as their season longs.

The only possible way to fix this would be to globally raise the qb ratings significantly but that would really mess up how the game plays during played games.

I didn't check the RB's but that too is pathetic, how does EA miss these kind of things?

lol just check my RB's stats and his season long run was 8 yards. I supersim a bunch and when I play I always throw and never run.

In reality probably half of the 120 or so QBs have a comp% of at least 60%. I haven't noticed it that bad but the percentages need to be higher.

Re: How do I fix the QB passing percentage of simmed games

Sometimes playing with the defensive settings fixes this. I remember in NCAA 07 we put all of the defensive aggressiveness sliders to 0 and all defensive run pass ratios to 52-48 and it made the sim stats very good (that year there were very low completion percentages and tons of INTs, if I remember correctly).

Most likely, something could be figured out. But it would take a guy with the dedication of an SM27 to do it, and frankly it's just not worth it to me to spend my time fixing EA's game. I already spend way too much time on my slider evaluation projects.

Re: How do I fix the QB passing percentage of simmed games

Currently there are 51 QBs with over 60% completion percentages. There is 1, 1, less than 50%.

I actually just made myself extremely angry at how pitifully terrible the sim stats really are. Get a freaking clue already about how terrible you are, EA.
