NCAA Football>What is your favorite next gen version so far, and why?

For me the easy choice would be 08. It has been the most realistic so far this gen by far. With some slider adjustments I could get life-like rushing and passing stats for both myself and the cpu, as well as just overall scores. I could take a B rated team and be lucky to go 9-3 at best. This game has defense in it.

07: didn't really play it much so I can't comment on it.
09: Wide open gameplay = not realistic gameplay. Bad, just bad.
10: a little better than 09 but there were so many things broken with it that the overall game was flat out ruined it (two off of the top of my head would be too many kick returns for TD's and poor DB play that even sliders couldn't fix). [Reply]

:-)10 is the best of the next gen and the game has made some nice strides but there still is a ways to go. Presentation and formation subs in 11 will make this series great again. Give me FCS schools and I have no reason to leave my house. [Reply]

with team builder you don't need FCS schools in the game. It's funny I can't recall anyone using FCS schools when they were there but now that they are not seems like everyone is missing them. :-) [Reply]

I'd say 10 for the next-gen. It's got many many flaws, but it's got an amount of positives. The game has room for improvement, but it's better than 08 or 09 which sucked. 10 is essentially an enhanced version of 09, but it's still better. [Reply]

I'd say 10. But we desperately need momentum and realistic physics that make players plant their feet, chop their feet, etc. [Reply]

NCAA 09 with massive slider tweaks. NCAA 10 could have been it but I don't like the camera or how insanely fast they made the pass speeds. The biggest problem with 09 is that the sliders worked poorly. If they would have patched the sliders like they patched 10s sliders, that game could have been really, really good imo.

Edit: I'll add that CB is right about NCAA 09 dynasty. I can make it about 5, 6 seasons tops before you start to see some really screwy stuff happen in dynasty (where skill people can play on the OL). The cpu recruiting and handling of starting positions is bad. But that doesn't bother me as much since I never play longer than 6 or 7 years with a team before I start over. [Reply]

NCAA '10 hands down.

'08 was a turnover fest....'09 - dynasty was unplayable after about 4 seasons due to the recruiting and cpu roster management being fubar.

'07 wasn't on the PS3 so I can't comment on that one. :-) [Reply]
