i dunno about the VG but in real college football it hardly ever works because its so hard to find a good enough NT to run it, and then finding NT recruits who can come in and play is even tougher [Reply]

i run 3-4 and i love it. im in year 6 as bama and i have some stud LB's and a bunch of good DL. yeah a good NT is hard to find but i usually convert another player. i just recruit for speed and awareness in LB's and DBs [Reply]

I can stop the run with ease when I run the 4-3 but I tried 3-4 and I got burned by the run and my pass defense got worse. I honestly would like to use it but I cant for some reason. What are some good plays? [Reply]

You need the proper players for this to work. Usually big strong DE's and NT. Athletic LBs to cover. Thats how i use it anyway. [Reply]

I feel you. I've been interested in switching if I have an abundance of great LB's but I can't get the 3-4 to work for me. I've been thinking of going back to the Multiple D as opposed to the 4-3 but I just can't get the 3-4 to work for me. I have plenty of talent to run it but it just won't click for me. [Reply]

The first time I tried it I sucked at it too. You need to have good LBs but most of all, you need to learn to slant your DL and shift your LBs to help in the run game. The variety of blitzes are great for pass rush and more fun to use than a 4-3 imo. You have to give yourself time to learn the playbook though. After awhile you will get very comfortable and always want to use it.

Trust me, just use the 3-4 (or Multiple D) against the gimmies on your schedule until you get used to it. Eventually you will use it full time. [Reply]
