NCAA Football>Great yearly advancement are possible! Get to it NCAA team!

NBA Live in two years has caught up to a much superior product in the 2K series. Live is the same company that produce NCAA and Madden(like we all didnt know). Why is it this game can make such great improvements in a yearly cycle ,but NCAA just continue to lag. I understand NBA2K pushes Live but even Madden has made great strides in every area of football. Once again the same company. Why is it NCAA only take baby steps? Or take one forward and one back? Is it funding who knows!

I suggest to any developer who will listen. Take this year dont add any gimmicks aka "Back of the box" features. Assign NCAA 11 totally to fundamentals. Fix pass blocking run blocking out of all formations and there proper schemes. Add physics and momentum. Make sure playing with/against Robert Griffin is completely different than playing with/against Ryan Mallet. There are what over 50 ratings go through and make sure each rating effect the on field play. Fine tune this game workout the bugs.

K.I.S.S for NCAA 11
K-Keep
I-It
S-Simple
S-Stupid

Cover the basic and when NCAA 12 comes around then you guys can look to add "features" but as of now I have had all the feature I can stomach for one generation of games. [Reply]

EA is a marketing driven company, they probably REQUIRE the development teams to include X kiddie gimmicks each year that they can slap a cute name on for marketing. Fighting that is fighting the machine that is EA. [Reply]

I dont disagree that gimmicks are protocol. But to see Live and Madden adopt their "No more gimmicks" mantra and actually make great improvements begs you to ask "What is holding NCAA up from saying/doing the samething".

I dont understand how they dont get all the buzz MLB The Show gets and why? Even NBA Live(there product) will be receiving a ton of buzz this year with there approach to fundamentals. Causal fans may not understand why what they are seeing in the game might not look like whats on t.v. ,but they know its not. My best friend who is the ultimate causal sport gamer hated last year Madden and usually only buys Madden once every 4-5years. I told him this year was good and he brought it and loves M10. I showed him videos of NBA Live 10 and he thought it was a live game.

If you "SIM" it they will come!

There is a reason real gamers dont buy videogame that come out for a movie! Because they suck! Gamers know this and you cant get a real gamer to buy a official movie game. NCAA is getting to that point for alot of people. I never thought back on last gen that they would be a year I wouldnt own NCAA. But I was so turned off by the lack of progress(and in some cases regression) that I saw from 09 to 10 that I couldnt bring myself to purchase it in ten years.

Like people keep saying "I wanna love this game"! [Reply]

This is a bit skewed though... for one there is a comparision point for people to judge Live on... NCAA has to battle a ghost every year... The only thing users have to compare it to is thier own expectations every year. Bottom Line yes EA has done a good job of bringing Live back to respectable standards but again its based of the what 2k is doing as well. [Reply]

Competition breeds excellence. Live has to step up or become irrelevant. NBA 2k has been kicking Live's butt for a couple years.

It is this same competition that NCAA and MAdden need. End the exclusive contracts, get back to basics. MAdden has started to improve without prodding, which is nice to see. The NCAA team seems incapable of doing this and needs someone else making games to get them back on track.

On some new direction from the dev team... [Reply]

Would we love to have other companies making games sure. But the bottom line is this game isnt making acceptable advancement in most peoples opinions. M10 isnt great but IMO its the greatest jump from one football videogame to the next. And it is maybe my favorite football video ever(They have been so bad maybe Im just glad to have things going right).

Getting to my point. You can judge NCAA off of past NCAA's. New games with less in/to it then past games:-)! [Reply]

and apparently you can judge on NCAA 10 without even playing it! :-)

that would be like me going into the Tiger Woods/Fifa/NHL/etc.. forums and saying there wasn't enough improvements on it even though I haven't played them. [Reply]

LOL! I have been following this game closely through every stage from concept til release! I know whats in and whats not. Now how it handles and responed I only have the demo to go off. But I know theres no FCS schools and I dont own the game. I know it doesnt have M10 new QB ratings and I dont own the game. Or formation subs I think you get my drift! [Reply]

Great yearly advancement is possible in NBA Live because it has competition.
NCAA has zero competition, thus they have no reason to significantly improve this game without too many repurcussions, as in loss in sales to other companies, the die hard college football fan like me will continue to buy the game, so there will be no significant loss in $$$.

We can always dream for a great NCAA game...:-) [Reply]
