Star player out for the year. What do you do??

When your start player gets injuried for the year. What do you do? Do you play on or do you reset the game?

My star running back just got hurt for the year from a tailbone injury. I wanted to reset the game but I decide to play on. I wanted to see how well I do without my star player.

So what do you guys do??

Play on. No question. That's what makes the game fun to me.

Speaking of which, my starting FB went down last night. Not a star, but he was blocking pretty well.

You play on. A player can be replaced, even a star. Beside tailbacks or a dime a dozen in his game.

If you play with Injuries turned ON, you definitely should be prepared for this and play on. But since it's your game, you can play on or reset. Don't you love it when we have the choice?

Sidenote: I sure wish I could've reset the game when Brandon Tate (UNC) went out for the year against Notre Dame IRL.

You gotta play on... I like to keep it as real as a video game can possibly get. I know I wished UGA could reset the season last year after losing half of our team

Definitley play on! That's what makes dynasty fun!

The more realistic the better.

most def play on...i'm still playing '09 cause i'm waiting for updated rosters for '10...i'm playin with Pitt and somehow Shady stayed through his senior year..i was 7-0 and ranked 9th in the nation playing against #16 notre dame when he got injured in the 3rd quarter and was out 5 weeks..later in the 4th i was down 16-14 and my 2nd string RB fumbled the ball on their 40 with 1 min left as i was driving for the winning FG..that loss cost me a chance at the BCS title game..i was so pissed but at the same time ok with it because that is somethin that could def happen in real life

Without a doubt playing on is more fun. plus its good to see if your backup is any good. And prepare your team in case your star plays leaves your team for the draft.

Re: Star player out for the year. What do you do??

I say play on, but it's definitely tough sometimes, especially when you recruit that guy that you picture being a 'signature player' for your up-and-coming program. I hate getting a great halfback in that perfect year where the backfield will be his for the next four years and I'm thinking- new school records, maybe even an NCAA record or two... and an injury ruins him (ala Adrian Peterson but on a lower scale)...
