In 09 it was overpowered sure, but in 10 it NEVER works. The ball handler always just shakes it off like nothing happened.

Yea I've had so many situations where I've watched a receiver or running back jog down the field after a missed dive tackle (and by miss I mean getting shaken off). I kinda like it though since in 09 you could dive from yards away and have a great chance of tackling for a loss. Now you basically use it as a desperation tackle when you have no other options.

It is finally implemented well. Rarely does a person dive and tackle somebody IRL, so why should they in the game?

It's definately more realistic, but it will make thousands of gamers chenge the way they have played football games since the days of Madden on Sega Genesis.

Re: Is there a point to the dive tackle?

the only way i use it is if i dive for a qb in a pocket which sometimes works. any other time its an insta score for the other team.
