Not to mention EA is *SAID* to have paid off some media sites.

I wouldn't put it past them

Re: Why Not Develop on The PS3?

The people who seem to think the PS3 is so much more powerful from a gaming standpoint clearly don't know anything about the two systems specs or there hardware. More specifically the graphics card and GPU of the two systems which the 360 actually has a slight advantage in. The only real advantage from a gaming standpoint the PS3 has is more memory space. The two systems are really quite even in terms of power potential when it comes to games.

Other than maybe more commentary the game would not be any different if it was developed on the PS3.

I own both systems as well.

Re: Why Not Develop on The PS3?

As an owner of all three systems, you'd have to be in serious denial if you were under the impression that the PS3 wasn't the most powerful of the three systems. It isn't a better system, but it's the most powerful and it uses the most advanced data fortmat in Blu Ray. That's why I believe it should be used to develop the games. It doesn't matter too me which system sells more, as I'm not receieving the profits. What system I think is cool doesn't matter or whatever other issues or reasons people have behind loving their systems. I just want the best sports simulation possible. Thus far the Ps3 has been proven capable of providing such an experience, the 360 hasn't.

I understand a lot of people don't own PS3's, and are one system owners. If ever you get the money, get them both, you won't regret it. If you just own a PS3, get a 360. People need to get past this "my system is the best stuff".

I just want a football game like The Show. I really do.

The fact you say these are the best sports games of all time says a lot more than what you said.

Re: Why Not Develop on The PS3?

Typical American marketing:

Processed fast food is quicker and cheaper to make, and its resources are more accessible, but it will kill you in the long run. Organic and natural foods are more ''expensive'' and require time to make, but is the much more healthier decision. But, they will market fast food because it's cheaper to do.

This is the exact same thing going on with this gen of consoles. The PS3 obviously can handle more in terms of memory and disk space, and has shown potential in MLB 09 The Show, but the 360 will always get the nod because devs are too biased, too inept, or too lazy, to develop on the more superior console. And to the people that said The Show isn't up to par with NFL 2K5 needs to slap themselves, because The Show is not only one of the best sports games ever, it's the most consistent series. Sony hasn't changed their focus at all, while EA has done it at least twice with all of their sports brands.

Plus, EA Sports are the only ones I see having a memory problem.

Agreed. I've got both, and enjoy both greatly.

You really have no clue about hardware or specs do you. There is more to an system than the data format being used. Things like the GPU for instance.

The reason this series has been disappointing this gen has nothing to do with which console it is developed on.

I honestly couldn't care less about the system specs for the 360 and PS3. I know that the day is brighter than the night. It's obvious, and I observe as much with my own eyes. I know when something looks good, and is enjoyable.

Meaning....

The Show - Best looking sports game ever created. Also one of, if not the best sports simulation ever.

Killzone 2 - Best looking console FPS ever created.

Drake Amongst Thieves - One of, if not THE best looking game ever.

MGS4 - There isn't much to be said here.

Forget specs, I know what the PS3 is capable of.
