I'm sorry Adam but you missed a huge part of the team responsible for errors and that is the core NCAA team. The gameplay guys. You don't need bug finders to figure out if the pass rush is right or if the sliders work right. If you guys are leaving slider testing up to minimum wage bug testers then that decision right there is completely flawed. Sliders are a huge part of a game and the responsibility for them working properly ultimately falls on Russ's shoulders or another core designer.

Gameplay flaws and issues that can be spotted quickly fall to the core group. Glitches like a recruit not being able to come back in online dynasty fall to testers. Bugs that happen less than 1% of the time are acceptable. Broken sliders two years in a row is not.

Let me just add this. QA might be at fault for not catching errors but the people who screwed the stuff up in the first place should catch most of the heat, not QA. Too much passing of the buck on to QA imo.

I have said this since the beginning of the 2000....

TO EA SPORTS: REPLACE YOUR AWFUL GAME TESTERS (I CANNOT STRESS THE WORD AWFUL ENOUGH) WITH OS MEMBERS AND NCAA WOULD WIN GAME OF THE YEAR

Seriously, there is nothing that ANYONE at EA could say to defend releasing a game with incorrect/incomplete rosters or some of the other bugs.......

PATCHES ON LAUNCH DAY = PATHETIC

Testing should be the MOST IMPORTANT thing in Game Development...

Does EA hire the Blind to test???

How could the testers not notice the lack of pass rush whatsoever when it was the most blatent thing we all noticed when watching the videos Steve posted here, and also with the OL/DL video you guys put out?

I'm just curious as to how NO ONE noticed it earlier in the development of this game, especially the person or persons who work on the gameplay aspect of the games the passing game and OL/DL interaction specifically!

After reading multiple threads and hundreds of opinions on the matter, as well as the "Generic" responses from the EA folks, I have come to the conclusion that they just don't care....

Seriously, they really don't care....

Whoever they hire will be better than you.

I understand that you think you're smarter than everyone working on NCAA 10 and understand how the production process works.

Maybe you should put yourself through a game development degree and go up to those NCAA and show them how its done.

I can't really discuss publically what went wrong with the sliders and rosters. It doesn't matter to you guys... just know that we are fixing them.
I can understand things slipping through the cracks...once. But when it happens a second time those aren't cracks, they're crevasses.

When are you guys going to get a handle on your QA?

Powerful post Rudy.

Normally I stay out of the NCAA discussion, but your post caught my eye. I stopped buying/playing NCAA a few years ago, because I didn't care for the direction this game was being taken. So no need for me to be piling on.

But I agree will your thoughts. I also believe the "Testers" are getting too much of the heat, for the problems the last few years. I mean no disrespect to anyone, but I just can't imagine all of these problems are being missed by all the game testers that were mentioned. The game testers just seem like an easy target these days.
