If the clock really does stop inside 2 minutes after a first down (something I was unsure of when playing the demo), then why does the CPU hurry to the line and spike the ball (waiting of course for the play clock to get down to 3-4 seconds)?
I am almost 100% sure if this is in the ship version of the game it will not be changed in a patch. It's just something we're gonna have to deal with. It's insanely annoying to me though.
