We do not need comments like "buddy" that implies sarchasm and your opinion is right and the only possible one.

Keep this on topic and respectful! I really have no problem locking the impressions thread and any new one's that are made, if we can't keep it clean and mature.

Thank you.

This game sucks ***. Point blank, period. I can't run the ball effectively, I can't sack anybody unless I blitz every play...I have even less control over passes than I had playing previous versions....Ugh...Terrible.

I have a question.... you know on NCAA 2009 when you had the ball running with a player you could wiggle the left stick left and right and the player would start shifting his weight left to right as to try to set up a big juke, did they take that out? I cant seem to do it.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I've only played about ten games, but I just don't see how people are saying this is the worst game ever or exactly like 09' with different animations.
Maybe it has to do with settings, as I've played all my games on heisman..... I don't know for sure. Here is my personal comparison for NCAA 09' on heisman and NCAA 10' demo on heisman.

1) Winning and losing: In NCAA 09' on default sliders I could easily beat the cpu by 60-90 pts. On the demo I've only won once out of ten games.

2) CPU Pass rush: In NCAA 09' I rarely would get sacked. On the demo I was sacked twice in one series.

3) HUM Pass rush: I would say this is pretty comparable to 09', not very good.

4) DB control: In 09' I was pretty good at switching to a DB with the ball in the air and making a play/user pick. For some reason on this demo if I switch to a DB my coverage gets worse or my guy kind of freezes for a second.... maybe I'm doing something wrong.

5) Running CPU: In 09' CPU running was pretty much non existant even w/ sliders set RBLK/RBABL 100. In the demo I've had Demps and Murray rip off big runs against me.

6) Running HUM: This was also WAY to easy in 09'. I form twins HB toss was a guaranteed 10+ or TD every time. Not so much on the demo. I've been getting stuffed.

7) Outside contain: Best I've seen by CPU in years.

8) Speed: This was the first thing that stood out by far. No longer do I see RB's with rockets up their *** or WR's flying by DB's.

9) Coverage: Seems much tighter on the demo, and even noticed LB's pushing WR's on under routes.

10) Strategy: My impression is that the gameplanning and defensive keys are huge for 10'. Much like REAL football, every time a team huddles coaches and players have an opportunity to adjust scheme/strategy. This feature has the potential to make a typical ho-hum 2nd and 7 in the second qtr from games past to an opportunity like every down is in real ball.

One thing I realized from my first serious job is that you can't satisfy every customer. These percentages can vary, but seem to hold true.

10-20% of people are going to be satisfied all the time.
40-60% of people can truly have an alternate experience depending on quality and service and judge without bias.
10-20% of people are going to be pissed off, unsatisfied, and impossible to please no matter what you do or what they get.

I personally like to think I fall in the middle. Regardless, I will be purchasing and enjoying the hell out of 2010' if the gameplay is similiar to the demo and the rosters are fixed.

name me one sports game that you can play random people online and not feel like is a cheese fest...you cant so no dice there

the game is not perfect but is better then last year and it will be what you make of it...
Actually I'm not good at all, in all honesty. That's my point. If I try to play real ball (step up into the pocket, establish the run, etc) I don't do nearly as well. On the commercials they should just say "leave your football knowledge at the doorstep." You can try this yourself because it doesn't take an ounce of skill or respect for the game.

I shouldn't be so hard but I really wanted to like NCAA 10.

Unreal...............

Guy's stop bashing each other and if you are not a fan of the game, there are mature and respectful ways to present your impression. If you can't accomplish this, then please leave the forums, so it doesn't get locked.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

I have to say the demo disappointed me. The visuals looked worse on the PS3 than '09 and the sound was really bad (lack of bands and terrible chants). Some of this may be related to the demo size but I was unimpressed. I don't like the new camera and the only real positive thing that stood out to me was the cpu QB throwing deep. The over the shoulder catches looked really nice. It's very hard to make a real judgment on a demo with only 2 minute quarters but I didn't see enough here to make me want to buy this game.
