Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

Finished the game. Played All American diff. Beat OU 17-14 and OU was pressing at the end of the game and I had to recover the onside to seal it. What I did notice was in the 2nd half (I was up 10-7 at the half) that OU started playing a lot more nickel/dime and they always had a spy on Tebow, whereas in the first half I was able to complete a lot of intermediate passing and run it down their throats. So the AI definitely adjusted to what I was doing.

Refs are in the game, but cutscene only.

It's okay. Very similar in feel to last year, but yet different. It's definitely not as fast as it seems in the videos. Reminded me a lot of Madden 09 in some regards.

The end of the game was wack. It was supposed to be the championship game and Nessler just said "Thats the end of the game, see ya next time" or something to that effect. However, in the beginning he did the typical this is the big one spiel. I hope thats just for the demo.

It was funny seeing the Rose Bowl logo in the Orange Bowl. Yes, I know the Title game is in the Rose this year.

so based on what short time you've guys spent on the demo...if you had the choice of buying NCAA 09 for like $15 (again) or waiting it out for NCAA 10 which would you choose?

So jealous of you 360ers. Punks!

Thank for the impressions guys. It's early, but I like the seeing that it's polished and has a better "feel". I cannot wait for tonight when it hits the PS Store!

Go Gata!

Oh, and could you tell me the ratings for all of the players in the demo. Especially the #4s on the depth chart. I just had to.

3 smilies FTW.

I'd want NCAA 10. The game is similar to 09 on very first impressions (one full game at 2 min quarters at AA diff), but the new things are tantalizing to me. I want to see how season showdown is implemented and I do like the subtle changes they've made that Ive noticed so far. Player lock is really cool, especially on defense.

I like it, but its not mindblowingly different and if the rosters aren't sorted out properly, I may think differently.

I think a lot of the early hype was overblown based on the demo. It played very well and its a video game, so its not goign to be a perfect sim, even if it could be.

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

i hate the replays in the demo...they seem worst then last year...they have this blur mixed with frame rate issues to them...yuck

but the game is not just like last year...farrrr from it...the animations alone are worth getting it..

touches here and there make the game feel a lot better

the sooners rb just ran for 75 yard run on me....

LOL, so what happened next? Did you return the kick? Did your drive start from the 25?

Re: Official NCAA Football 10 Demo Impressions

It seems a bit blander in the graphics dept than last year as well. It really feels like Madden 09. I wonder if they're using that engine.

The crowds look absolutely atrocious as per usual and some of the chants sound canned, especially the defense one. It doesnt sound like its coming from the stadium.

Hell yeah! That's what I want to hear. The CPU RB (DeMarco Murray) breaking a big run on the USER.

One thing though Guru, the Gators' D will not allow that non-sense any more. Ha! Thanks for the impressions man.
