EDIT: What do you mean when you say it is MUCH better? Better than 09? I say its almost the same game, and it plays pretty much like that too. It's no worse or better than 09, that's why people are angry.
sounds good bandolero, feeling very good about this game, VERY GOOD!

But when it comes to some on the field things, the similarities are not nearly as much. Pursuit angle seriously change a ton, cause I've had a lot of my 10, 20 yard gains that would have been TDs last year. That is huge to me. I can't just manipulate the CPU into overplaying a punt return and getting an easy TD return. When I throw deep, more than half the time I completely overshoot the guy, which is a contrast. I can throw when I'm hit, whether it's smart or not. The CPU will actually miss a guy every once in a while, which is nice considering these are two of the best QBs in the game, so if these guys are doing it, it bodes well for the rest of the QBs out there.

The only real SERIOUS issue (to me) that I see is the fact that pass rush is average at best, and the run game can be a little hit or miss. But even that has been an improvement IMO. I think one of the things about the pass rush though, is that the QB will sometime throw the ball so quickly from the snap, as though he can sense you'll get a rush and gets rid of it before it can even come close to getting there. This could be an issue, I'd have to play more than a 2 minute quarter to know if there's more factors involved though.

Oh yeah, and the running animations and physics are a little helter skelter. That's something that really needs to be looked at a lil bit.

The problem with this game is if you plug it in expecting a completely different experience, you'll be disappointed. The more I've played the demo though, the more I like the game actually cause more of the changes come out. One game won't show you the improvements that's been made, and that kinda sucks IMO. I would like to think they'd strive for a little more than subtle changes, but the game definitely improved. Now, let's get a presentation, dynasty, and physics retooling for 11 and they'll be really getting somewhere.
Drocks, good post and I agree with you. I think people will see just how different this game really is when the finished product is before us. 120 teams instead of 2 to help evaluate. Remember, this is just a demo, put out to find what problems are in it, they will resolve those problems, and I think people will feel better when they start playing wjith their teams they are used to playing with. Thats when you will see the difference. I can feel and see the difference already. I don't play much with either of those teams, nothing against them, just don't use them that much. I see such a big difference in the game, been playing these games for a very long time now, and I have to say, if people are not going to buy this game because of the demo, they will be missing out on something very special. Would not surprise me one bit if NCAA is not a better game then madden 10 this year. Would not surprise me one bit, and I play both of them.

jersey, I am with you man! I play both as well. NCAA will be the surprise of the 2. I have said it before, tried telling this to everyone but many have based their deccisions on the demo. I think the demo is fine, will be better when the product is finished. Hope everyone hangs in there, NCAA community that is, because we are going to have a very special game this season. I can feel it, Ive played these games for years. NCAA 10 will be a BEAST! MARK IT DOWN!

Played about a half dozen more games the other day, to test out everyone's theories on the pass rush issues.

To me, it seems like the further away you play from the line of scrimmage, the worse it is.

Played as FS...nothing

MLB- consistantly okay, good on occasion

DT/DL- the most consistant, with some good user hurries, and some user sacks thrown in.

To level with you, if they just fix the camera I'd be complacent with this game, now i know what Hideo Kojima was talking about when he said "3D sickness," its way too hard to watch receivers, two moving perspectives is too much. Not only that, but i've had quite the time trying to scramble up the sideline, because the camera changes dramatically, allong with my controls perspective, so ill end up scraping the out of bounds line.

if they fixed the camera through a patch or something then this game would be 100x better than it is. Just give us the option to have the old camera, this camera is flat out garbage.

No doubt!!!! Somebody please explain why they would take out the default camera view? This camera gives me a headache it swivels/pivots around too much.

I'm pretty sure there will be an option in the Retail Version for Classic Cam.

band, gotta agree with you here my friend, I hope they do give us another option. Not sure about it, but I think you and I and the rest of the NCAA community will be happy with the final product. I understand what you are saying, and no doubt, I agree with you 100%

Guys watch video 28 posted here on OS. Florida vs. Oklahoma Adjusted Sliders. That camera has to be the classic cam. At the very least it is not the same horrible cam from the demo. Check it out! Pay attention to the first 3 pass plays and see what you think.
