Garbage might be going to easy on the O/D line interaction. The lack of explosion by the DE, and the magical suction they have to the O line when the QB leaves the pocket still boggles my mind.
You had me fooled for a second, i though you were going to sympathize with EA. They say you win games in the trenches, and that is completely true, so it's fair to expect that a video game would accuratly represent the war in the trenches. I said in another thread that i can take WKU and be within +/-7 of my opponents score no matter what, and this is why, because they dont account for line play, which is what makes great teams great [See: WVU, Oklahoma, Michigan (Antonym), Clemson (Antonym)].

EDIT: And i hate that they referrence WWI with "trenches."

Haha! Would you care to wager on that?

Yeah ill just get that PayPal going. Or you can have my Credit Card number on the honor system.

I would really play you, but i sold NCAA 09 a LONG time ago. Maybe ill rent it, do you have a PS3?

EDIT: Fine, i'll make my statement slightly less ridiculous. Given that i'm not playing like an idiot, and i don't get a lot of crappy draws from the game code (Aka stupid fumbles, possibly other rare issues that screw you over), i'll be +/-7 of most people.

Need some opinions on this. I played the demo the other night and noticed you can no longer throw to a big athletic receiver, and basically jump over him to catch the ball. Do you think they got rid of this type of catch for the ncaa 10 game? Or maybe Oklahoma and florida doesnt have the big type receiver to perform this type of catch. I noticed when you go to throw it deep now they do some kind of new catch that invloves no jump. Its an odd animation. I really hop they didnt get rid of the jump catch. That is my bread and butter.

Lmao. I'm pretty sure they took that away because people complained about it. Although all they had to do was get a 6'1 corner and then you'd be screwed.

Well now i'm secrewed then LOL. If I had my big receiver with specatacular catch single covered I couldnt be stopped. If all the catches look the same as how they do in the demo I dont think I will buy the game. I think what they shoulda have done was make only the elite receivers able to perform this catch in ncaa 10. I hope they dont all catch the ball like it looks in the demo or it looks like everyone will be going back to recruiting 98 speed WR to beat the Defense long. At least in 09 a big receiver with slower speed still had a chance to catch a ball if he couldnt blow past the secondary deep.

They need to create a deep ball mechanic, a quasi-passing cone sort of thing (with no cone shown of course). They need it so that you are placing the ball somewhere, far-lead, backshoulder, outside, inside; that would take away the need for a way-too-easy rocket catch, but replace it with a legitimate mechanic so no one could cry about it. Ill throw that at about 00123 on the needs list.

Re: NCAA Football 10 Demo Now Available, Post Your Impressions Here

After playing the demo I have a few things to say....

the crowd went from crappy to absolutely worthless. It looks like a Madden 99 crowd. The engine is the same old thing (Sucks). I feel as if I have 0 control of what's happening, which is what EA always brags about is having the "freedom". I feel as I am not in control of deep passes, and running the ball. The lock "feature" is nothing but a different camera view and it limits you on switching the player to make the easy tackle as opposed to the CPU failing to make the tackle. Kicking game is too easy...The presentation still sucks...Physics are terrible. If this demo is 10x as better as this demo (Which it will be) This game is still awful.

Only things I noticed they improved on is pass blocking, and punt and kick returns. And a few cool camera angle cut scenes.

I realize that it's just a demo, but even something as small as a demo gives me an idea what kind of game it will be...And it's the same thing...Flash and flare. EA's marketing is fantastic cuz this game is going to be awful. Look I have bought every single NCAA game since 2001...Which means I have given EA over $400 worth of my money (My own fault)...So I am a little bitter. Because not only they take out cool things after years...They put it in and call it a NEW FEATURE!

I will not buy this game unless the people on here says other wise. I'm gonna stick with Madden.

I agree. And in addition to that bold part, lead passing is pretty crappy on NCAA (it was last year on Madden, too). It almost makes me wish they'd bring the damn passing cone back. Another irritating thing is the laziness of the receivers. A lot of interceptions are caused on this game because the WRs will stick to their routes and just expect the ball to come right to them rather than having to get in their and fight for it when the defensive player warps up towards it. There are no aerial battles. I can't remember seeing a wide receiver on NCAA Football pluck one that was overthrown out of mid air, or, wrestle away a 50/50 ball from a defender to come down with the catch, or even come back to the ball to at least break up potential interceptions.
