Bring back the Create a Team option.

Upgrade the caliber of FCS teams. App State at Michigan proved that playing these guys can sometimes be a thorny proposition.

QA the lighting for twilight games -- some fields are bathed in a golden yellow hue that is tough on the eyes and makes the yellow passing routes difficult to distinguish.

The kicking game needs refinement - CPU shanked punts (even with a high punt accuracy slider) are too frequent and enhanced ability to use directional punting and kicking would be a welcome addition.

I've played 30 dynasty games pre and post patch and I like the wide open play. But, the offense clearly has an advantage. I found that FF and Sacks are significantly lower than NCAA norms but, TFLs are about right. EA's challenge is to sharpen some of the defensive tools while holding TFLs constant.

Some possibilities: (1) Enhance the B button (used for switching players on defense) by making it more or less responsive depending upon nearby player awareness. (2) Big Hits against weak ball carriers should result in more FFs. (3) I've had two strips in 30 games -- make sure that tool works against weak ball carriers. (4) QBs with low awareness should be spooked more easily by pressure. (5) Sacks should be hard to get but, the current edition doesn't reward cerebral defensive playcalling such as well disguised blitz audibles that gives the defense a numbers advantage at the LOS that should result in QB pressure. Too often defenders are channeled to the center of the offensive line and QBs have too much time to pick apart the outnumbered secondary.

In previous years the CPU usually reacted to react to stop a play if it was often repeated. I've found that I can run the QB sneak from the Goalline set time after time and be successful in short yardage situations (except near the goal line).

Finally, I'd like to see the developers refine the Hail Mary play and the deep ball -- it is an exciting part of football that has been purged from this game.

I'd like to thank EA Sports for the second patch. IMO, you guys aren't that far away from getting the game play on the money. As a defender, all I want is to feel as if I've got a fighting chance to rattle a QB now and then, put him on his back and turn the tide.

I'd like to see an increased focus on the OL/DL play, fix the blitzing issue and make DE play correct in having them taking wider angles and there being more of a realistic pocket ala ESPN 2K series.

Visually
- more player faces and hair
- teams equipment should match the brand of their uniforms, you see adidas schools with nike visors
- most players usually wear gloves a couple of years into the dynasty its less and less
- visors fitting on revolution face masks, revolution facemasks are too low and too far from the face

Gameplay
-camera view where you can see the width of the field
-get rid of that block where you get pushed from behind and its not called a penalty
- of course the ol/dl gameplay should be better
- have raitings matter more
- the cpu should know its players and not run the option with a non running qb
- better cpu play calling
- have wide receivers fight for balls

Recruiting
- more information on recruits high school stats and so on
- camps and all american games

also players not losing speed when changing position maybe just awareness
coordinators or maybe even position coaches

Immersion, please:

In dynasty, have the broadcast team know statistics and performance in context. Are you in first place in the conference? Last place? Is your RB leading the conference in rushing? Is the team you're playing in the top 20 in passing defense? I want to know about it!

Show me via overlays AND having the broadcast team mention it.

RATINGS, RATINGS, RATINGS.

-A game slider and player attribute for power and accuracy for short, medium and deep throw power.
- An editible potential rating for every player that controls how fast they progress
- An awareness rating that does more. That controls how much the cpu messes up. If I have a QB with 42 awarness I want him missing wide open guys all the time. If I have a QB with 92 awareness I hardly want him missing
- Actually making CPU QB's throw away the ball. This would be factored into awareness. High awareness throws away the ball, low awareness doesn't
- A team Chemistry rating that is editable. Wake Forest has high chemestry but not too many players that stand out but they still win because they have chemestry. FSU has all the talent in the world and they are terrible because they have no chemestry. Make that happen in the game.
- For defensive awareness let it control how much defensive players blow plays.


Non rating one.
-A roster converter. I want to use my NCAA 08 rosters on 09 and the same when NCAA 10 comes out. Allow me to convert roster codes so I can use older rosters on the new game.

EDIT : Here's more

- Team Tendencies. I want to be able to edit blitz frequency, RB1-RB2 sub sliders that work in user vs. cpu gameplay, QB run frequency, Short, medium, and deep pass frequency, run/pass frequency, Defensive Schemes, Offensive agression that works in user vs cpu gameplay, Sub in/out sliders for every team, a no huddle or huddle up switch for every team, man vs zone slider for every team, Formation subs (not the current system) like in Madden 09 but make it in the main menu. And biggest of all, make this stuff accessible OUTSIDE OF DYNASTY MODE. So that you can set it once and be done with it.

Started a thread for this but, it belongs here too.

I was actually thinking that this would be a great way to create a more realistic playing game.

For FIFA 09 (here I go again) the developers have added Team Tactical Sliders. Each slider has a 1-100 scale and based on how they are set, the team actually plays to the settings.

Unlike NCAA and Madden that just have a Coach Setting there are 10-15 settings in FIFA. With that many settings there are about 50,000 potential combinations.

Since we all know that the play calling is atrocious this year in Madden and NCAA I thought that this would be a good way to not only fix the problem, but create a more realistic experience at the same time.

Some ideas for tendencies:

Offensive Tendency Sliders

Run vs. Pass
Run vs. Pass on 3rd and 7 or more
Run vs. Pass on 3rd and 4-6
Run Vs. Pass on 3rd and 4 or less
Run vs. Pass on 1st down
Run vs. Pass on 2nd and 8 or more
Run vs. Pass on 2nd and 4-8
Run vs. Pass on 2nd and 3 or less.
Run vs. Pass on 4th and 7 or more
Run vs. Pass on 4th and 4-6
Run vs. Pass on 4th and 3 or less

Defensive Tendency Sliders

Zone vs. Man
Separate blitz tendencies for all down and distance situations mentioned above.

You get the idea. I'm sure others will have more suggestions. With custom tactics in Franchise Mode and having the ability to view your opponent's tactics for the upcoming game you would then be able to put a game plan together based on tendencies. Again, creating a more realisitic/sim style game.

For the casual gamer. Have the option to turn off the custom tactics

The greatest thing about how the FIFA team is implementing this is that the game will be shipped with pre loaded team tactics based on the development team's knowledge of the playing style of the actual teams IRL.
Admittedly they know many of them will be incorrect, so they have allowed the user to upload the custom team tactics to the EA Locker for every user to download if they want.

This will work out well because by the time the game ships in the US (it ships in Euro first) most Europeans will have the true to life tactics uploaded for their favorite teams. On day one I'll be able to download the actual tactics used by any team I want. Liverpool will play like Liverpool. Chelsea will play like Chelsea. Manchester United will....

Isn't this what we've been wanting in NCAA and Madden forever? The teams in the game playing and calling plays like their real life counterparts? Custom Team Tactics and/or Team Tendency Sliders not only give you this but, you also get the bonus of EVERY game play differently based on tendency sliders.

With the play calling the way it is now every game pretty much plays the same. The overuse of the QB Wrap play, Corner blitzes, and lack of CPU deep ball are just killing the game from a strategic standpoint.

Given this Community's and others desire for a realistic gaming experience I'm certain that two days after release the custom team tendency sliders will be available for every team in the game in someone's EA Locker right?

Playtest the plays and make sure the AI can actually run them. The stupid QB choice with a slow QB is the absolute death of this game.

If you aren't going to do that, let us modify the playbooks so we can take out things that don't work like these cheezy QB runs and Cornerback Blitzes.

1. Could we please have in-game updates with other scores from games with the same kick-off time as yours in dynasty mode like in last-gen? This adds so much to the realism, as it makes you feel like you aren't just playing a game "in a bubble" so to speak. To take it even a step further, in-game updates would be very cool - showing a critical play or series of plays from another game (Madden had this for SNES) going on as you play your dynasty game.

2. This isn't very high on the priority list, I know, but it would be nice to have a complete overhaul for the stadium announcer ( for those of us who play as mid-majors and only have about half of our games televised). The same stadium announcer has been used since the PS1 days. Can we get one who sounds like an actual stadium announcer, with a lot more emotion toward the home team?

Ok, game is great, add these things and Ill think its incredible!!!

- Create a School - And I would want options...not like Madden this year where there are only a handful of graphics for the helmets and you can't even outline the numbers on their customizable jerseys. If your going to do create a school, please do it right. It would be kind of cool, if we could create the school (Jerseys, Info, Stadium) and then also create its top 3 players (without going through ALL the create a player stuff). Just select the positions and then the computer generates them specific to the team play style or playbook.

- Option Schools - I know this is probably incorporated with CPU AI or playcalling, but please please please make sure a 62 speed QB thats in for an injured Tim Tebow is not trying run on a defense just because the Florida playbook might be option based. Do that for all the option schools, Michigan, W. Virginia, etc.

- Pre and Post Game Animations - Whats funny is the game actually has pre game talk about an impact player, but you never get to see the player. A small animation of the teams coming out and seeing the impact player with his stats would go a long way in may book. If you want to get more detailed, have unique animations for the higher bowl games (Sugar, Rose, Fiesta, Orange, and NC). I would much rather have this than more celebrations, especially since celebrating isn't even allowed in real college football.

- Formation Subs - Everyone else is calling for it, so I won't go into detail...this should just simply be in the game.

- Custom Playbooks - Once again, everyone else is calling for it, so I won't go into detail...its something that has been in the game and is just an awesome feature.

- In Create a Recruit - If I make a four star QB from Kent, OH...Please, please, Pleeeaaassseee make Kent State atleast one of the top 10 schools he's looking at. I understand a five-star not wanting to go to a small school, but atleast give me a chance at a four star.

- In Online Dynasty - Im not going to be as optimistic to say that you should allow us to 'watch' other players CPU games in an online dynasty. I know that would probably require you guys to double or even triple your servers and most people don't even realize that when they play against the CPU in an online dynasty, that their actually taken offline from the Dynasty HQ. But I will softly and politely...ask for a scoreboard in the online dynasty HQ or something that shows the score of other teams games in progress. That would be awesome and I would be very much obliged!

- MISC. - Im not sure what to put this under, but Ill try to kill two birds with one stone. Bring back more of a QB 'touch' pass. Ill barely press the pass button and it will still throw a straight quick pass to the receiver. Sometimes, I have a deep crossing route and I know I want to throw OVER that MLB thats in a zone. I want to 'touch' pass over his head because theres plenty of space out there. On the other side of the spectrum, that crossing route is 15 yards deeper than the MLB and the linebacker still jumps like 10 yards in the air for an interception. One of the two atleast needs editted, because I should be able to drop that pass (with good accuracy of course) over the MLB and into open space for the crossing route.
