Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

Roy38's Wishes for '10:

Creation:

1. Custom Playbooks - Allow the user to create their own playbook from all available formations and plays. If there needs to be a specific cap on the number of formations and plays available, that's fine but give us the option to choose what formations and plays we want in our teams playbook.

2. Expanded Playbooks - Allow the user to select which plays to use within their own playbook. Allow all plays within a given formation to be available and let the user decide which plays to include in their playbook.

3(a). Create-A-Team - Bring it back already! While you're at it, expand on it from previous editions. Incorporate more logos, more color options, more uniform options and styles, which leads me to...

3(b). Custom "Pride" Stickers - I understand if universities don't want us to deviate from their official school standards and traditions, but allow Create-A-Team users the option to create their own stickers rather than use someone else's. We don't have to design them ourselves (although that would be a cool feature), but have a set list like logos from Create-A-Team to use.

3(c). Custom Stadium Editor - Again, I understand if universities don't want us to alter their current stadium set-ups, but allow Create-A-Team users to develop their own stadium using a stadium editor. This feature could be used like in the Tony Hawk series where you could create your own skate park. Let us decide where everything in the stadium goes rather than give generic, cookie-cutter stadiums to use. If we're pigeon-holed into having generic stadiums, at least give us more options to use.

3(d). Custom Mascots - Allow Create-A-Team users to create their own mascot as opposed to having to use a current team's mascot. It can be as elaborate as player creation (which would be cool), but could be done much like the logo feature in Create-A-Team. Have several generic mascots pre-made to chose from to use.

4. Custom Stadium Sounds - A great feature in '09, but let's expand on it. Allow us to create playlists for each event and then have the sounds executed randomly. While I enjoy hearing a particular song when scoring a touchdown or sacking the QB, some diversity would be nice.

Gameplay:

1. Formation Specific Subs - Bring it back already! Give us the option to substitute players at different positions based on formations outside of in-game. The current set-up is more confusing and doesn't allow for much time to make substitutions because of the play call clock.

2. Improved Passing Controls - Allow passing to be more indicative of field position. If I'm going into the red-zone, I should still be able to call deep passing plays to the back of the endzone and have the QB use more touch to drop these passes in. Often times these routes are pointless because they are all thrown out of the back of the endzone.

3. Player Attributes - Allow players to "play" to their given attribute levels. Make each attribute important and noticeable for each given player. Power HB's should be slower and stronger, but harder to take down than a Speed HB. Speed HB's should be faster and more elusive, but easier to tackle. You get the point. By having the players "play" to their given levels, most other issues can be addressed by fixing this. Blocking can be better against the run or pass (or worse), Pass rushing/run defense can be better (or worse), Coverage can be better against all routes (or worse), etc. It all depends on the player and their ratings.

4. Roster Sizes & Limitations- Increase overall roster sizes from 70 to 85. It's that way in real life so, "If it's in the game, then it's in the game". Also, allow us to choose what roster limitations should be. If I'm running a spread passing offense, I have little use for a FB in my system so don't make me recruit one. He's only taking up a roster spot for a TE or WR that I actually need.

5. Play-Action & Play-Fakes - Allow these plays to work as intended. These plays are designed to slow down the defense as they must first read then react. Again, player attributes tie into this. Less awareness or play recognition means more potential for bigger plays which I think is the true definition of "Wide Open Gameplay".

6. Bigger Celebrations - Bring it back already! Let me chose to showboat or taunt an opponent after a touchdown, field goal, sack, interception, big play, etc., but have the officials enforce the rules and penalize me for it.

7. Expanded, Working Sliders - Expand sliders to control each individual attribute of the players. If we don't like how the game is playing directly out of the box, let us tune it to our specifications.

8. Division 1-AA - Bring it back already!

Dynasty Mode:

1. Player Training - Bring it back already! During the off-season, include the ability to train your players, by position, to your specifications. It doesn't have to be a mini-game (as that would be even more time consuming), but it doesn't have to be elaborate either.

2. Coach Legend Mode - A game mode I thought could be entertaining would be to have a coaching career mode. You could set it up in a similar fashion as Campus Legend. You would start off as a high school head football coach in control of offense and defense. At the conclusion of your first season, you would get the opportunity to coach at several small colleges as an offensive or defensive coordinator. You would only control offense or defense until additional job opportunities open up. Maybe you'll get a head coaching job right away for a small college, or maybe you'll get a promotion at a larger school as offensive or defensive coordinator - it's really whatever you want to do. You could decide you want to stay at a small program and build it into a powerhouse or you could choose to wait for a big time program to come calling. Dynasty mode with a coaching twist.

i like what everyone has said so far good ideas. I would like to see some more helmet types and face masks. Get rid of the REVO QB1 mask No one and I mean NO ONE has ever or will ever wear those. Also add the Revo masks that players such as Percy Harvin wear cuse the REVO Robot isn't cutting it. Also some all star games i remember this from NCAA 99 I liked it as I'm sure others have as well.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

can the review system get fixed as well? I hate having to sit through a officials review of a ball caught 10 yds out of bounds. Or can the officials get more calls right, lol...

Also why cant we use instant replay before review? In real life i'm sure someone is up in the coaches box saying whether or not to challenge the call.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

  • Formation Subs, in and out of game
    • On the fly subs like Madden
  • In Game Saves
  • More advanced Playbooks
    • Every team should feel different to play with
    • Change up the defensive playbooks
    • Have a way to match up the depth chart to a team’s base defense (eg. West Virginia shows 2 safeties in its depth chart for their 3-3-5)
    • Create a Play (With every option the developers have when designing playbooks)
    • Boundary and Field Corners (many teams keep their best corner on the wide side of the field at all times, some teams even do this with their safeties)
  • In Dynasty, ability to choose alternate game sites as well as change the game times at the beginning of the season.
  • Create a Player in Dynasty, ability to edit ratings in Dynasty if we want. Also, ability to change every team’s depth chart if we want.
  • Correct Rushing Stats—Sacks should count as negative rushing yards for QBs
  • The short passing game is so important in college football now, I’d love to see better bubble screens, shovel passes, etc. The same stuff we see every Saturday.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

I think its about time EA allows us to continue a dynasty from one version to the next. With online dynasties this has to be a priority. I would also like to see coaches with names, and their actual records. I don't care if they have real NCAA coach names, but I don't see why they can't have fake names and real records. I want dynasty mode to receive some upgrades as well. I want to create/renovate stadiums. I want to create my own rivalries, and I want to be able to play said rivalries at a neutral stadium. I want coaches (that have names and records from RL) to get fired and hired, and if they are so amazing I want to see them retire.

Not sure how much of this has alread been said, but it is what I want.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

Wishlist:
  • Pre/post game analysis by commentators, showing commentators, key players, stats, etc
  • Pre/post game entrances from tunnel, sideline, etc. Also end of game celebration (different ones) depending on if game is rivalry, BCS, bowl, or regular game
  • Sideline interactions, players subbing in/out. Coach walking sideline, players interacting with each other, maybe even players arguing with each other after a bad play or good play they celebrating.
  • Crowd interacting, signs, wave, more chants, dancing in stands, reacting to plays.
  • Refs, chain gangs, coin toss including the captains and refs.
  • Better endzone celebrations, dunking over goal post, maybe running/jumping into crowd, dancing with teammates, etc.
  • Variety of pre-touchdown celebrations, instead of just finger point and high step.
  • Actual half-time show, highlights, bands, cheerleaders, something
  • Return of impact players actually making big plays, getting hot, etc.
  • Return of spring drills to improve redshirts and current players in key positions.
  • Return of directing receivers when scramblin out of the pocket.
  • Return of QB avoidance.
  • Return of custom playbooks and formation subs.
  • Return of create a team (since with next gen, beef up the customizations, incorporating custom mascots, team logo's)
  • Change the commentating, they have been saying many of the same things for about 6 years.
  • Also if anything can be done about the sound quality of the game. I notice when I play other games with my surround sound, it is perfect. But when I play college, I have to turn the volume up to get it to get close to other games. The hits should be more powerful, the crowd needs to be louder, the band needs to play louder, as if in a real college atmosphere.

1AA Teams (FBS Sub Teams, whatever they are called)

Better Line Interaction

Field Degradation

Progressive Lighting

Realistic weather effects like Madden.

Make it so I can pick what game is HOMECOMING, and what time the games are played in dynasty!! Even making a Black out Day would be awesome!

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

I have read the previous posts and I understand that EA isn't capable of adressing everyones needs. The only specific thing I ask is that when teams select plays they can specifically put position players in spots. Keep the packages for a quick fix, but also allow to specifically sub in players like Madden. Also like on Madden in previous years, allow one cornerback to cover a specific Wr all game. In the current layout it is impossible for your #1 corner to match up with a slot receiver unless you manually do it on field or through changing depth chart which is extremely difficult because you don't know where their #1 Wr will be.
