Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

Fix the juke animation. It looks too unnatural right now. Defenders bounce of ball carriers when they should either
A)miss them completely B) try an unsuccessful armtackle C) try to tackle them high D) slow them up a little bit (ball carrier not the animation which is slow enough)

Also,

On Heisman the majority of the CPU tackles are "Big Hits". You run the ball up the middle and the CPU LB will clothesline. One on one in the flat and they will crush you. Just a simple wrap-up, trip up or any other normal tackle would suffice.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

I am not too familiar with game design but i am hoping these improvements can make it into 2010:

1. Formation subs. Just a great feature to have.
2. Running animations need work, especially the QB. Running QBs should be more smooth ala pat white or vince young. If you could capture their running animations and put it in the game that would be excellent, also reggie bush has a great running motion as well. Just needs to be more fluid.
3. Tackling, since gang tackling is in, there should be a stat for tackles and solo tackles. Keep this in mind, tackling should be like dunks in a basketball game, there should be many different one with a lot of variety.
4. Post and pre-game presentation could use an upgrade.
5. Recruiting. Quick call should unlock all the unknowns before working on interest gains/sways.
6. Ability to adjust height/weight in dynasty.
7. Celebrations. More team celebrations, i notice after i get a sack i am celebrationg by myself. Nobody comes to high five me or celebrate with me. On touchdowns, there should be at least six guys celebrating or patting the player on the helmet.
8. Injuries, please give us something like what madden has. I don't like madden much but their injury feature is pretty sweet.
9. Socks, shoes, and hair. Should have more options in this area for legnth, color, and style.

I am actually quite satisfied with 2009 and i dont even have the second patch yet(PS3). I wasn't expecting a whole lot because for one it's only the 3rd year on next gen, and two 2008 was so bad that any improvement would've been greatly appreciated. I truly hope that developers are listening because you will have a daunting task on your hands for 2010 because the expectations will be extremely high. My advice is to go thru and read this thread, figure out what you can and cant have, and test like you've never tested before. Good Luck!

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

1) CPU PLAY CALLING - CPU needs to throw deep more often, CPU needs to take advantage of it's personnel (only speedy option QBs should run option plays) and mismatches (if CPU has stud WR against a weak FR CB, then CPU should take advantage and force me to adjust coverages, etc.), CPU needs to adapt to USER play calling and recognize when USER is calling the same plays over and over and over again.

2) IN GAME SAVES - This has been needed forever... especially for the growing number of older 25+ YO gamers whose time is more precious. I don't understand how Madden had it on PS2/XBOX but we still don't have it on PS3/360. Games take forever. Especially if your the type of player that likes realistic number of plays, stats, etc.

3) BETTER PRESENTATION - I've been asking for it for years, so why stop now. I would love to see team specific game entrances/intros. Add more, and better replays (some with commentary/breakdown ala CC on Madden) Replays on PS3 suck, they need to be fixed. Cut out the lame Auto Picture feature that nobody uses. I'd still like to see some type of pre-game, end of game show like Game Day, Sportscenter, etc. Better presentation in all aspects of the game (not just in-game) makes the single player Franchise experience 1000x better.

4) COMPLETE STADIUMS - It'll be the 4th year on CG, please fiinish up the rest of the stadiums, and add the endzone artwork for bowl games.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

I'd love to see a flexbone playbook that more closely emulates the Paul Johnson offensive style. One in which wingbacks are more than just pitch men.

Also, an expansion of run based formations (wishbone, power I (or I-bone, which i don't think exists on next gen), maryland I, etc) would be killer.

More in-depth defensive playbooks are pretty necessary too.

And yeah, i'd like to echo the desire for new OL/DL interaction, and a more lifelike physics engine. (specifically something more momentum-based that accurately takes into account a players size, strength and agility. (or lack thereof))

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

Bring back the Create a Team option.

Upgrade the caliber of FCS teams. App State at Michigan proved that playing these guys can sometimes be a thorny proposition.

QA the lighting for twilight games -- some fields are bathed in a golden yellow hue that is tough on the eyes and makes the yellow passing routes difficult to distinguish.

The kicking game needs refinement - CPU shanked punts (even with a high punt accuracy slider) are too frequent and enhanced ability to use directional punting and kicking would be a welcome addition.

I've played 30 dynasty games pre and post patch and I like the wide open play. But, the offense clearly has an advantage. I found that FF and Sacks are significantly lower than NCAA norms but, TFLs are about right. EA's challenge is to sharpen some of the defensive tools while holding TFLs constant.

Some possibilities: (1) Enhance the B button (used for switching players on defense) by making it more or less responsive depending upon nearby player awareness. (2) Big Hits against weak ball carriers should result in more FFs. (3) I've had two strips in 30 games -- make sure that tool works against weak ball carriers. (4) QBs with low awareness should be spooked more easily by pressure. (5) Sacks should be hard to get but, the current edition doesn't reward cerebral defensive playcalling such as well disguised blitz audibles that gives the defense a numbers advantage at the LOS that should result in QB pressure. Too often defenders are channeled to the center of the offensive line and QBs have too much time to pick apart the outnumbered secondary.

In previous years the CPU usually reacted to react to stop a play if it was often repeated. I've found that I can run the QB sneak from the Goalline set time after time and be successful in short yardage situations (except near the goal line).

Finally, I'd like to see the developers refine the Hail Mary play and the deep ball -- it is an exciting part of football that has been purged from this game.

I'd like to thank EA Sports for the second patch. IMO, you guys aren't that far away from getting the game play on the money. As a defender, all I want is to feel as if I've got a fighting chance to rattle a QB now and then, put him on his back and turn the tide.

Recruiting: Let the FCS teams be able to recruit players in Dynasty (1 and 2 star guys)

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

I'd like to see an increased focus on the OL/DL play, fix the blitzing issue and make DE play correct in having them taking wider angles and there being more of a realistic pocket ala ESPN 2K series.

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

Visually
- more player faces and hair
- teams equipment should match the brand of their uniforms, you see adidas schools with nike visors
- most players usually wear gloves a couple of years into the dynasty its less and less
- visors fitting on revolution face masks, revolution facemasks are too low and too far from the face

Gameplay
-camera view where you can see the width of the field
-get rid of that block where you get pushed from behind and its not called a penalty
- of course the ol/dl gameplay should be better
- have raitings matter more
- the cpu should know its players and not run the option with a non running qb
- better cpu play calling
- have wide receivers fight for balls

Recruiting
- more information on recruits high school stats and so on
- camps and all american games

also players not losing speed when changing position maybe just awareness
coordinators or maybe even position coaches

Re: **Official NCAA Football 2010 Wishlist Thread**

Immersion, please:

In dynasty, have the broadcast team know statistics and performance in context. Are you in first place in the conference? Last place? Is your RB leading the conference in rushing? Is the team you're playing in the top 20 in passing defense? I want to know about it!

Show me via overlays AND having the broadcast team mention it.
