NCAA Football 09 Patch #1 Available

Dude, some of your programmers are the definition of anti-social. I give you guys credit for being able to work with them in the capacity you do.

With that said... something needs to be done to ensure a better model of football gets put out for NCAA next year. The quality difference b/w NCAA and Madden is growing by the day.

Being able to give instant feedback and input that will be taken seriously is great.

II don't think being aprreciative to OMT and the others isn't azzkissing or validating some shotty work in some areas...

We are humans playing games made by humans....mistakes will happen....thats what makes us human...

A perfect game would be great (never gonna happen, impossible to please the world).

But enjoy what you have...the game industry is evolving and has come along way....and the guys on the OS boards is a great step in helping us all get a little closer to that perfect game experience we are looking for!

Can't wait for the patches (Ps3) and until then my buddy and I are content to mess around with an online dynasty. Play some games against eachother and just have some good fun. Offline I'll probably wait to do my own dynasty until patch 2 hits....so until then I'll play other games...and Madden too when it drops.

OMT, when will they add the psp synchronize feature to the Ps3 version? This was pretty cool with the ps2 version of Madden and NCAA ( I think it was the 07 version) It was great because it allowed you to update rosters and create players.

So incredibly off-topic, but there is much cooler stuff that can be done between a PS3 and a PSP then what was possible last-gen. It's on the list of "things I really wish we had time for", but console-specific features are at the very bottom of our priority list.

yea but the whole patch issue has been beaten to death. What kind of cool stuff?

and is there an EA development team for each console? They should focus on each console individually because they are each so very different.

You remember the VMU's on Dreamcast - memory cards with LCD screens that could display information relevant to what is happening in game? Think that, but with a PSP.

The guys who work on stuff like rendering will focus on one platform at a time, but most of us work on stuff that isn't platform specific. Using Dynasty as the example, selecting your team(s), advancing the calendar, editing the depth chart - all of that stuff is written in a way that doesn't care what platform you are on. If we split the team up into PS3 and 360 teams, the logic for every single screen would have to be written twice.
