Re: Patch 1 and 2 Info

OMT,

When you refer to fixing the Strafe catch issue.....are you saying the cheesy "Rocket Catch" that all these idiots do online is going to be done away with? If so that's the best news within that Patch. In all honesty that's the one thing that's REALLY made the game unplayable for me online. This game has several other issues...but if that's corrected I'll be content.

I believe EA was only approved for one free patch with NCAA but they got two free patches with Madden. Unless Adam corrects this, EA had to pay a fee to have a 2nd patch but that depends on negotiation between the higher-ups. Both Sony and MS are different with regards to patches and MS restricts the size of the patches more than Sony which is why they won't be patching accelerated clock (even though its possible for Madden).

It's too bad EA can't put the patch on their website and we could download it ourselves and burn it on to a cd or something. Heck you can install the backward compatible updates from MS that way, too bad we can't do the same thing for patches for games.

Which patch fixes the broken fatigue/substitution sliders?

I haven't the slightest idea. I didn't know there was an issue with the fatigue/substitution sliders. I have had my players subbing in and out, in what I would consider, a realistic manner.

I agree and I hope they resolve the connection lost problems.

Re: Patch 1 and 2 Info

Adam,

Couple questions.
1) On Stadium Sounds, to reiterate what AA asked, if i play as FSU, obviously i can hear my sounds at Doak, but if i set up sounds for UF, will i be able to hear them when i play at the Swamp?

2) How were hook zones tweaked? Players just dotn drop as deep?

3) How were WR screens fixed?

4) So no more ghost juking? (players running out of bounds for no reason)

5) Do kickoffs include punts (punt coverage fixed?)

6) The slider issue....so it is fixed so that HUm sliders control HUM and CPU controls CPU, right? Also, what about the effectiveness, can you have someone try what fistofrage suggested. Turn Pass Block to 0 and see how it works vs being at 100? Id like to see the degree of difference.

If that (sliders) are fixed and work right, that will fix the only thing not addressed here, the pass rush.....

Thanks again Adam

Yeah, set 'em to 90/100 to get guys going in and out. They work as well as they ever have in previous games.

Right there with you!!!!!

I am in several online dynastys, but the one I will play along with the Madden Franchise I have been holding off on becuase I dont want it to be like last year where you couldnt even get into year 2.
