Patch 1 and 2 Info

2nd patch? what about the first patch, do i have to wait until that patch is released to start my dynasty?

what exactly is going to be in these patches?

I couldn't find this in the NCAA rulebook anywhere. I looked under both the timing rules and in the timing rule interpretation.

Also, the above example was on successive plays. There were 2 timeouts called before the first play, then a play was run. After the play finished he tried to call another timeout but was unable to.

This is interesting if true though. I consider the rulebook required reading each year when it is released to stay up to date. In fact, I thought there was a rule like this but couldn't find it in the book. However, I thought it only applied to a single play and not on succesive plays. Maybe I am missing it. Would be good to know going into the year as we just kicked off our fall camp today. Care to point me in the right direction?

This is just getting out of hand. We should have at least had patch #1 by now. I am getting very frustrated waiting for the fix for this game. This really should have been considered an emergency fix by Microsoft and EA.

Some of the zone coverages out of the 3-3-5 Across formation are broken.

Here is what the 3-3-5 Across looks like:



As you can see, the two cornerbacks are away from the LOS and in line with the three safeties, leaving six players in the box. In past games, I've found this to be a rather effective formation for obvious passing situations because your DBs are already backed off the line protecting against the medium to long range routes.

We're just going to focus on the two strong safeties right now, because that's where the problem occurs. In the Cover 3 Zone, Spy 2 Blitz, and Crash 2 defensive plays, the two strong safeties are assigned to cover the flats. Three plays, same assignment. Here is what the SS assignments for these plays look like in the playbook:



The problem occurs whenever you call this play and get on the field, because their assignment from the playbook is not what they play on the field. Instead of covering the flat in front of them, they cover the opposite flat. Here is what you see when you RTrigger and show your play art:



Obviously this creates a huge problem, because when the ball is snapped, rather than drop down and cover the close flat, the two SS's run horizontally across the field to cover the opposite flat. So for a few seconds at the start of the play, neither of the flats are covered because the SS's are crossing each other in the middle of the field.

This creates a rather significant set of holes in the defensive zone coverage for these plays, making them rather useless.

Yea I feel that ... me and 11 others have been waiting and waiting for this patch to start our online dynasty ... this is ridiculous.

Same here. My friends and I started an online dynasty and it crashed a week ago yesterday. Frustrated we wasted our time and energy we really haven't bothered with the game since. Probably a sign that once NHL comes out in September NCAA will be dead to us.
