The problem is that the coverage is so bad, the QB is able to drift back just enough to be able to dump the ball off to a curl, drag, out, etc.. If they make man coverages more aggressive, zones more effective, hook zones and flats more effective(which were all included in that list), then you're not going to have those WRs getting the free release, which means the blitz WILL get to the QB. The problem isn't with pass rush as much as it is with the absolutely HORRID coverage that enables a WR to get open within a second every single play.

Regardless, you're not getting freaking 8-15 seconds or anywhere near that to throw the ball. Be real.
I'm going to defend AA here as I agree with everything he says.

I don't know which version of the game you have but you must have got the "magical" one with pass rush. Because in my copy it is non existent.

The QB can sit in a recliner, finish of a 6 pack of beer, go take a wiz and come back to complete a pass.

Like AA said, no matter how much or what they fix, if they don't fix the pass rush the game is absolutely worthless...makes a great coaster though.

Well I'll be optimist about the pass rush...

If sliders finally work then won't Break Block work? Wouldn't you think that would lead to more pressure/sacks?

Actually who the **** am I kidding?

Thats just it, Im renting this from Gamefly and if I can get it to work out then fine but if I cant then its going back to Gamefly and Im waiting on Madden, there is no way Im waiting until September to play this. If September hits and the game gets patched and is phenomenol then I may either pick it up off of ebay of rent it again but Im certainly not going to hold onto it until then on a prayer that its fixed.

If the patch actually does include the slider fix, and actually WORKS, I'll wait until Sept.

Kind of a goofy statement, you wont know until September if its really going to fix anything anyways. So I guess you are willing to sit on it for 2 months, and thats fine but that statement kind of threw me for a loop.

With all of these people complaining that pass rush wasn't mentioned...

If the patch has a slider fix, wouldn't you be able to turn down Pass Block and improve the pass rush?

I'm tired, so allow me to rephrase it - If the second patch actually does include a fix to the sliders, I'll wait until Sept. Of course, I won't know until then, if it actually fixes anything, but it's a start.

I figured thats what you meant, just giving you a hard time is all.

Fix the sliders how?

That's the thing..everyone is getting all excited over "sliders being fixed".

I assume this means...Have the CPU sliders work instead of having the Human Sliders AFFECT BOTH Human and CPU.

That's all well and good..but answer me this......

Right now, if you put Human Break Block at 100 and Human Pass Block at 0, are both you and the CPU's Defensive line busting through every single play in 2 seconds?

No?

Then what's the freaking point of having sliders if I put Pass Block at ZERO as in....NONE and I put Break Block at 100 ...as in MAXIMUM....and still don't see a damn bit of difference. My line still blocks like the Denver Broncos and my Defensive line still looks like a bunch of Pee Wee leaguers.

So....if Sliders being "Fixed" means simply having the CPU sliders do the same thing as what the Human sliders are doing right now ...then no..it won't make a bit of difference.

But hey, maybe they'll make the sliders waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more potent? We'll see soon enough.
